My husband and I purchased a 2017 Toyota Camry from Girard Toyota last week, and it was the most positive car buying experience we have had in a very long time. Mark, the general manager, and Eric our salesman gave us a great price on our trade-in and excellent pricing on our new Camry. Our financing was taken care of quickly and there were no surprises at the end. We love our new Camry and thank you all for making it a great experience!

The staff at this location are such life savers. First of all, I did not know what was wrong with my car until they've diagnosed it. Julia who is an amazing employee there had called to inform me of the issues with my car and had given me a quote for 1k. So I've said to her not bad. However the next Day I received a phone call from her again stating that the cost to fix my valve and gasket with many other issues was going to cost me about $2800. No lie I started crying like a baby to her and had to be kind of personal with some other issues that were going on in my life. Julia then said to me that she's going to speak with the service manager then call me back. People when I tell you that Julia has called me with the best news that I've received in a while. She told me that all fees, labors and parts were waived being that they were able to have my car fixed underneath the BMW 10 year warranty for my issue. I must say that they have a customer for life and I can not wait to purchase my new car through them in July. Love you guys! You're the best!!! Tammy:)

Purchased this car two Friday's ago. Between the color and the packages I wanted it was a tough find in the northeast. The dealership came through for me. Outstanding customer service from start to finish including my salesman Eric. Highly recommend purchasing through them.

BUYER BEWARE: I recently bought a 2007 Toyota Corolla from Girard Toyota and was very unsatisfied with my experience.
My father and I originally stopped by the dealership to check out used cars that were for sale in early May of 2017. We were picked up by Harold Winslow and shown the Corolla, which was a recent trade in. It had a decent sized dent in the front and other minor aesthetic issues but we were told everything would be resolved before the car was sold. We were offered a price for the car but had no intention of buying a car that day so we left.
We returned the next weekend with interest in buying the corolla depending on what could be offered. After haggling with Harold and Frank Mikolike, the sales manager, we agreed upon the same price for the car but now with a one year warranty on the power train as well as a set of spare keys for the car. I put down a cash deposit and we left.
On the third week of doing business with Girard Toyota, I got a ride from a friend to finalize the car payment. Harold made note of my father not being there and left us at a desk for a few moments. A different representative, Mike, sat down with us to finalize the paperwork. When I asked for the power train warranty in writing, however, he came off confused and brought over Frank, who claimed that the warranty was never part of the deal.
After further discussion and talking with my dad over the phone, my friend and I went to go check out the car. We were brought over to the corolla and I found much of what should’ve been repaired had not been touched. The bumper was seemingly fine, however, the minor aesthetics such as the under-radio storage had not been fixed. We went back inside and I relayed to the three representatives that I didn’t want the car and I needed my deposit back. Frank became unwarrantedly upset and started ranting loudly, swearing both in explaining why it was a great car and at others around him. He swore not only at the other two sales agents, but also at my friend telling him to mind his own business when he tried to reason for me. I’m still completely shocked as to how unprofessional the sales manager acted. Never the less, despite asking for my deposit back repeatedly I kept being roped back into conversation and eventually reluctantly agreed to pay $450 less on the car instead of having a warranty included.
Unfortunately, the trouble did not end there. Before leaving, I reminded Harold about the spare key that I was owed and instead of handing one over he claimed he would look into it and that I could always buy them cheap at a hardware store. The keys to the car were clearly transponder keys, which are not cheap to copy. I reminded Harold continuously about the keys over the week, and the way he kept putting me off showed to me that he had no intention of keeping his promise. He eventually reversed his decision saying he never promised me a spare key.
In a similar timeframe with the key issue, I had the car checked out by an outside mechanic, which lead to even more disheartening findings. The car was claimed to have gone through a thorough inspection by the dealership, yet the front rotors needed replacing and the bumper that had been fixed by the dealership was attached with zip ties!
Dealing with Girard Toyota left me feeling very disheartened, I wish I had bought a different car elsewhere. I wrote a letter explaining my poor experience and sent it to those on the management team. I never got a response, however, I went to get the rotors serviced and had no problem getting them approved for replacement under the 30-day warranty. I was even able to get my front bumper properly attached and a spare set of keys with no issues. Even so, whether it was a result of the letter or not, I should not have had to go through so much effort to get what should’ve been automatically delivered to me as a customer. I would suggest avoiding this dealership, but if you do find yourself at this business get everything in writing and a copy of every paper they use before giving them a cent.

A few hours ago I pulled away from the Girard Toyota lot in New London, CT in a brand new 2017 Toyota Sienna. Ariel Alba was my salesperson and I could not have been more happy with the service I received from him, as well as all members of the Girard team.
Due to a very busy family and work schedule (as well as the fact that child #4 was about to make an appearance), Ariel handled our situation and requests with the utmost professionalism and promised to communicate with me primarily via email, text, and phone. The entire process was so incredibly efficient and smooth that I am truly dumbfounded. He took our list of vehicle requirements, and in less than a day had found one that met all of our feature, color, and trim/model must-haves. He constantly kept us in the loop in terms of the status of the vehicle and made sure that everything was ready to go when I came in this morning. I spent less than 3 hours at the dealership, finalizing financing, insurance transition, and all the other final steps. I seriously could not be more delighted with the price, service, and overall service from the Girard Toyota dealership,...but more importantly, with Ariel himself. He truly knows how to put people / customers first and ensure a wonderful car-buying experience. It all started with the no-nonsense, haggle free pricing and quote, to the fantastic level of communication, to the bottom line of doing what he said he would do. I will definitely recommend him to anyone in the market for a new car!
He truly turned what could have been a very difficult situation, with a very aggressive timeline, to a very positive experience which I would be happy to share.
