I took a lot of time at this place observing an looking around. I found that their selection of   acoustic guitars is located in a acoustic enclosed wooden area with  great selections. The electric guitars have price ranges from inexpensive to high class but costly. The quality of their instruments are very good as well as the accessories.

UPDATE. It depends upon who you get to help you.

I wrote a 5-star review back in late June after working with one of the managers. During that time I dropped about $600 on gear and I picked up a backup microphone cable for a particular gig. I didn't use that cable and left it in its original packing. I decided the next time I was in the store I'd just exchange it for one with a switch on the end of the cable anyway. The store isn't close but I was fairly sure they told me the return window was 45 days. 

So I go in with a brand new cable, and they won't take it back because supposedly it's a 30 day return window. This is not the BS where people bring in stuff they've clearly used and are essentially renting for free. This item was unused and ready to go back on the shelf. I was keeping the rest of my initial purchase.

So I left. Sadly everything I purchased from them I could have gotten from Amazon. And while Amazon has a 30-day return window I could do a return from my house / office and not wait until the next time I drive 45 minutes in to this part of town.

Good selection and even better knowledge and service. 

I can't speak for all the employees here but I can say that one of the managers, Elliot, is an audio engineer and great for providing guidance in making sure you get the right equipment for your job. Guitar Center really needs to keep and attract more employees like him. 

I tried to use the Guitar Center Katy location but couldn't get past the millennial "don't care" attitude.

Awesome and loving place of music! Came here looking for help with my new home recording setup and associate Steven pointed me in the right direction quickly and effectively. Fun store with lights, guitars, abd keyboards to play on as well! Highly reccomended location

My gear rental experience was awesome!!!!! Rented 2 QSCKW181 subs. The process was easy, Micheal was super cool and took the time to answer all my questions and even helped my out to my van with the subs. He was equally as cool when I took them back!

Wow, it never ceases to amaze me when I visit this location. My wife and I are pastors and spend the church's money wisely. The amazing employees of this location, knowing we are non-profit, went beyond the call of duty in their service to us and the advice they provided us. Customer service is still alive and this store/location proves it.
