Our company held a business meeting in this property. The service was excellent. The meeting room was a bit cramped; but, the audio-visual services were excellent, as were the meals and snacks. The later were in the main quite healthful. The sleeping rooms were very comfortable. I was comped a suite, which was very spacious. The bedding was comfortable and the bath had both a tub and free-standing shower. Water leaked under the shower door onto the floor in front.. Just after I entered my guest room there followed a parade of techs swapping out the mini-bar. This was a bit annoying.

The center city location is great. The room and lounge were good. The front desk said I was given my $50 daily credit that was promised me and they also said they would use as much of my loyalty points as possible. They said I would get my bill via email and did not offer to allow me to review it. When I checked my bill at home, I was not given the $50 daily credit and I had extra loyalty points that could have been applied to my bill. Other problems: The front desk at first did not see the special room package that I paid for in my reservation and I had to show them a printout of it for proof. They did not inform me of my late checkout approval nor explain how the breakfast-in-bed option works until I asked. The mini-bar is not stocked unless requested. The front doorman did not come forward to assist in guiding us regarding (mandatory valet at $45.33 on top of the $440 room charge for one day!) parking until confronted.

A great stay with the Sofitel. They really do go out of their way to make you feel special, from the welcome chocolates to the happy greeting from the doorman each day. The bed was super comfy and I slept like a baby each night. Heaven. Only negatives were that some of the furniture in the room was a bit dated (probably antiques but dud not fit in with style of the room) and the blinkin toilet was so loud when it flushed. Also could do with a night light to help guide to the toilet - which was a long way in the suite! All in all I would stay here again.

We could not have been happier with our stay at the Sofitel. Such a wonderful hotel, right in the middle of the French Quarter. The staff was outstanding! From the valet person, to the bell boy, to the reception crew- we felt very good taken care off. A special "Thank you" to Veda, who organized all our rooms to be together and was so kind to me on the phone. Will definitely will come back to this beautiful hotel.

The gentlemen at the door greeted me warmly and saw to my bag promptly. The reception staff handled check-in perfectly and I was in my room within a matter of minutes. The room was spacious, clean, temperate and precisely what I hoped for. Over the course of my three-night stay, I felt safe and welcomed back to the hotel with the same level of care. The bed was more comfortable than my bed at home (a shame.) The only challenge I ran into was feeling like the restaurant area was a bit limited. One does not really have options to sit in a secluded space to enjoy oneself outside of a room. Of course, the room was spacious enough I could have remained in it and felt just fine. The bar/restaurant staff was capable, but slightly less welcoming than the remainder of the team members I encountered. Otherwise, the experience in the hotel was stellar.
