I'm a watch enthusiast and I've been a customer of a few other stores for over 20 years. I was introduced to the former watch manager from a friend who was a great client of his. I started to buy a few timepieces from him but still purchased from my other two long time retailers. The watch manager was doing a great job converting me over to just shop with them until he left for another job out of state. Before he left I went in to put my name on the list for a new watch that was coming out. I also followed up with an email. He told me after two other clients were taken care of he would get one for me. These emails were sent the day of announcement from the manufacture and there is no question I was one of the first to be put on the list. I waited patiently for a long time. Followed up 6 months with the sales associate who expressed that I was on the list but didn't know when. Being familiar with the process I know I should have already had one but I kept patient. After over a year I became inpatient when the sales rep didn't answer my text so I reached out to there COO. He responded great at first but from there it went downhill. I provided him the emails showing him when I requested to get this watch. He didn't care. He simply said the list changes based on who spends the most money in the store not who was first on the list. What type of customer service is that. I haven't spent a million dollars at the store but I've spent enough and would have spent much more if he made it right. He let me know that they had not received that many but the sales rep told me they were receiving over two a month for over a year and I didn't get one? He didn't care what I had to say or how I proved it to him. Basically said, "To bad you were first on the list but you don't spend enough." If you want to feel unappreciated for spending thousands of dollar go here otherwise there are plenty of places in town that will take care of you. Being a great retailer is all about relationships and making your client feel special especially in this day and age. Non of my friends or family will be shopping here and let me tell you I have lots of friends that like to spend money on their products! I don't like writing these type of reviews but it's so frustrating to be treated like you don't matter even after proving that I did my part.

This review is for the Roberto Coin store associated with Hyde Park Jewelers. This was the best jewelry buying experience I've ever had. I was not looking for anything in particular, but something caught my eye when I was walking by the store. Barrie, the sales associate invited my sister and I in and encouraged us to look at their offerings and try things on. There was no pressure or haughtiness that you sometimes experience at high end jewelry stores, just genuine love of the Roberto Coin collection and more than happy to show us all the pieces. Barrie was patient with us, answered all our questions, and shared our excitement about the beautiful pieces they have available. I hadn't intended to make a purchase, but shortly after leaving the store empty handed, I u-turned right back to purchase a necklace I had fallen in love with. Barrie was assisting another customer so I got to work with Stephanie, the store manager. She was fabulous as well and was patient while I narrowed down exactly what I wanted. My sister and I left feeling great about the purchase and so happy both about the beautiful unique piece purchased, and that we got to meet Barrie and Stephanie who were an absolute pleasure to work with.

Our first visit to Hyde was wonderful, my significant other and I were looking at rings to get an idea of what type of engagement ring I would like. We worked with Kathy, she was a great listener and found the perfect ring for me. However, we were more interested in doing a lab created diamond, which Hyde doesn't offer, so we needed to find a lab created diamond elsewhere for the ring we found at Hyde that I loved. Kathy was understanding of this. She encouraged us to take pictures of the rings we liked and to come back at a later time... So, tonight my SO and I went into Hyde Park to look at the ring I loved again before purchasing and unfortunately Kathy was not there. Instead we were greeted by a man whose name I cannot recall, but he was very rude and condescending when I told him our choice was a lab created diamond. He was really pushy towards diamond or sapphire instead. He highly offended me and made me feel unwelcome in the store because of my personal preference for the type of diamond I want. He completely ruined the happiness I felt about the beautiful wedding band we found at Hyde and for this, we will not be giving them our service. It is an extremely disappointing circumstance.

Hyde Park is the only Jeweler I do business with because of the service, selection and brand name they carry. I’ve worked with John Burba for several years. I consider him a trusted friend when it comes to my purchase needs. Highly recommend John and the staff at Hyde Park Jewelers!!

Purchased a watch here an was told there was an extended holiday return policy though January 31. The manager told me I couldn’t have a refund because it was over 14 days. Then he turned around and said there was an extended holiday return but that I was still outside the return policy. Clearly their return policies cause a lot of problems for their business. It’s a shame because I was going to come back in and pick up a rose gold Rolex but now I’ll be buying it somewhere else and I will never shop here again and tell everyone I know not to shop here. Luckily my credit card has a guaranteed returns policy and will give me a full refund unlike the liars that work at Hyde Park.
