Visited from SW FLA and the park definitely didn't disappoint. The boardwalk area was very educational and the sand dunes were AMAZING. Make sure you wear or bring a good and sturdy pair of sneakers if planning to explore the sand dune areas!

This park is so cool and fun to visit. My wife and daughter (4) had a blast here. On my next visit, I want to try out hang gliding or sand boarding. If you're just looking for a great walk/hike, it's not challenging and quite enjoyable with some great views.

Very unique State Park. The dunes a are huge and quite beautiful. My dogs absolutely love running up and down the dunes and digging in the sand. We prefer to visit in the off-season, when the temperatures are a bit cooler and the crowds are smaller, but it’s enjoyable year round. This is a great park and truly a must see!

My favorite place on the outer banks. Trails are relative here and it’s really a big awesome 400 acre sandbox of fun. The dunes are never the same, repeat visits always entertain. If you don’t run down a dune you’re missing out.

Excellent park. Beautiful sand dunes overlooking the ocean and sound. We went on a very cloudy day and I wouldn't recommend going during mid day as I can imagine it being very hot with the sand reflection. Our teen and 9 yr old enjoyed rolling down the dunes. Nice trail. Not very strenuous.
