Lake was awesome, campground is very nice. The bitting insects were out in full force, bring buckets of bug spray. Humidity was 95%, next time I am bringing swimming trunks to keep cool.

Such a beautiful pristine lake. Very peaceful. Nice clean native campgrounds. Within walking distance to Somerset plantation.

It's an hour drive from Outer Banks. Very good camping spot near Outer Banks as most of the camping spots in or near Outer Banks are expensive or closed during winter or spring. Showers and toilets are provided in this park. Also, this park is nearby to the lake and a farm with beautiful houses. Highly recommended.

The park rangers were very nice, and when we went the campground was basically empty. The showers and bathrooms were also in nice shape.
