My daughter, granddaughter, and I stayed here for a girls' weekend away. The motel is very retro, and charming. The rooms were clean and well stocked. We had a 2 bedroom suite, that included a small kitchen. The staff was very polite and helpful. The location was quiet at night, and very close to the beach, and within a 5 minute drive to the heart of St. Augustine. The parking was very limited, and we had to park across the street. But other than that, I would highly recommend.

Would stay again, and would recommend. Not sure I'd call it a 3-star facility (per Google) but it's a good beach motel at a good price. Owners are very attentive and very friendly. Good restoration of some original room murals. Wireless seemed to work fine, which is not a given these days. It's a beach motel, so don't expect the amenities of places costing twice as much. No phone in room, of course, and don't expect the daily cleaning to be immaculate -- but you're not spending much time in the room when you're in St. Augustine. One physical issue is that people of size may find the shower a bit small; I know the shower head has to be fixed in place (because guests would otherwise find a way to spray water all across the bath) but it isn't the most convenient. Small quibbles. Highly recommend. We expect to be back.

We stayed here for the nostalgia and neon signs. The room looked like a college dorm and was a little scary. The most funny part was the pool toy they used for a decoration on the wall. This motel is located within walking distance to the beach which was nice. The shower is a stall and tiny almost reminds me of a camper shower. The rooms are very very dated and need a little tlc.

We have been coming to St. Aug for 10 years now and I have been begging my husband to stay here. While I knew that I would love this hotel, (I am all about flamingos, retro, and kinda have an obsession with neon lights) I am so pleased to report that my husband was also not disappointed! The room was just as advertised, the breakfast was great and the pool was perfect. BONUS was the feral cat colony, which I enjoyed feeding and even petting one of the older fellas while we were there. :) Also to be noted, the owner was always around and breakfast and we enjoyed chatting with him. In addition to the short drive into St. Aug (literally, right across the Vilano Beach Causeway) Magic Beach is not only within walking distance of the beach, but a grocery store, the sound side pier and even a few places to eat. For the money, you really aren't going to get a better deal anywhere!

Check in was quick and painless, staff was very nice. Very Short walk to the beach, rooms were very clean and recently renovated. Rented upstairs unit with balcony facing south. Quiet room..no noise from outside or adjoining rooms. Free breakfast. With Biscuits and gravy, eggs, cereal, pastries, coffee, orange juice, oatmeal fruit......breakfast is available from 7am to 10am. Will be back and highly recommend.
