This might be the most kid and family friendly museum I've ever been to. Almost every exhibit is hands-on, as interactive semicolons and it is not halfhearted stuff , it is really well-thought-out and engaging , often for both kids and parents. We were here for three or four hours, and I know we missed a lot, because as soon as we walked in , the kids were deeply involved in the first thing they saw. it was also not very crowded, on the early morning that we went , and parking before the parking lot open, got us free parking. I would say we had a better experience here than at the last children's museum we went to which was the Museum of science in Boston. staff here was incredibly attentive and pleasant as well.

A great place to bring your young children. Lots of interactive displays, makers sections with various rooms, I think there are a few free admission days during the month. We loved the Connected World activity that teaches about the interaction of water and plants and animals. You can keep busy for a few hours if you want. Definitely on the to do list.

WARNING: Outside play area that everyone raves about is closed in the winter months. Kiwi view: got to admit sometimes it felt like an 80s Russian theme park done things were that old and quirky. But the whole place was actually REALLY good and the kids loved it. So many things to challenge their mind (including the old and quirky things). No five stars as the outside play area was closed and the 3D movie was mostly not 3D.

Excellent Museum, kids had a blast. Words cant describe The Connected exhibit well enough, it must be experienced. 3D Movie on Extreme Weather was interesting, but I think it is more well suited for adults then children. Parking is $10. The selection of food in the dining hall is limited and overpriced.

Tons of hands on experiences, interactive activities, and crafts. Staffs are great, very friendly, patient, and interactive. They are willing help, and knows how to deal with kids. Love their current, and seasonal/new exhibits, check the calendar on their site. Make sure you take your kids to every one of them. They offer free admission on certain days as well. Coat check $2 per jacket. Parking is $10 I believe (lots of free parking right outside of the lot).
