This was a surprisingly easy experience. I was able to show-up at the end of the day without an appointment and went home the same day with my new vehicle. Ricardo was extremely courteous throughout the process and only showed me vehicles I asked to look at with the features I was looking for. He was also very patient and gave me the space I needed to make my decision. I feel like the pricing was upfront and competitive. I love my new car and would recommend this dealership.

Less than satisfactory experience. The salesman I was dealing with didn't seem very knowledgeable about how financing worked and how the dealership gets approvals for it's customers. I made an appointment and drove two hours to this lot. When asked he did not know or understand what "shotgunning" was. I do not feel I was treated as a valued customer but more as a burden because I did not have a large down payment for the used vehicle I was interested in.The financial department was not very clear about what exactly they were trying to do for me and my consigner nor did they seem to care to explain it to me. Most of my time inside was spent at a table alone while the salesman talked to me from across the showroom. I was informed I would receive a phone call first thing in the morning for the credit decision. This did not happen. I had to call 3 separate times, on the third call I was informed the financial department was busy and I would be receiving a call within the hour. Finally I receive a call at 2 in the afternoon with nothing but "I called three different banks and couldn't get anything for you". Clearly I was not worth their time. Every dealership has it's more flexible lenders and I know they did not even try to get me approved through them. Absolutely no reason I shouldn't have been approved on a $13k vehicle with a co signer with respectable credit score and history. I've purchased 4 vehicles at this point in my life and have been to countless dealerships and dealt with hundreds of salesman and branch managers. By far the worst lot experience I've had in years. *UPDATE* It gets even better. An hour and a half later from receiving the call of decline from the financial department their receptionist calls me explaining how she hasn't heard back from their financial department about my application yet. I find this somewhat strange and a bit shady that they haven't filed this information yet as it doesn't take much time at all or communication among staff to file a decline of credit application. My understanding is that they didn't even try to get me approved at any bank or even lift a finger for me. Real customer service right here at North Hills.

Jay was our (used car) salesperson. I was buying my daughter, who was with me, her 1st car. I felt it was important to have the "right experience" to show her how to handle car buying. The North Hills Toyota staff was very professional and welcoming. Never felt pressure. During the test drive, there was a noise. Jay took us immediately went to their repair shop (good popcorn in waiting room). Wheel bearing replaced (no charge). Returned to "store", bought car. Granted, it was a cash deal. It should have been easy to negotiate...it was! If there was pressure to buy, I'd have walked. Negotiating a deal can be very "uncomfortable". Who likes that?! This was a "no pressure" deal, and We drove away with the "new" car feeling I wasn't taken advantage of. We were looking for a very specific used car online. We drove from Erie to check the 2008 Scion XB, and give it a thorough going-over. So there was a time/travel investment on our part. Do yourself a favor, give these guys a chance to make your happy. We drove from Independence, Ohio to buy a car there, we had a great experience! Everyone there was friendly and made us feel like VIP's. We loved the car and everything was fast, efficient and they stayed late to get us in our car that day. It was well worth the drive! I would buy there again anytime!

All my paperwork has the wrong city listed. When I was asked about my correct address, I noticed that my correct city wasn't listed on any of my papers and told the gentleman that it was wrong on papers. He told me not to sweat it that I should still receive my stuff in the mail. My correct address and city is listed on my license, but not correctly documented on all my paperwork. I hope and pray that I never run into any problems later, trying to sell or trade in vehicle.
