Camp is conveniently located in a 15 minutes drive from the Shenandoah National Park. It is quiet and nice place where you can stay for the night in your tent or an RV. Each tent spot has a fireplace and a table with a bench. Some have electricity to charge your phone or a computer. Bathrooms are clean and have a hot water. There are only 1 urinal, 2 toilets and 3 showers there for men, 3 showers and 3 toilets for women. It might be not enough at times. When I was staying there, there was also a bit of a bad smell coming from the septic tank, thus 4 stars. Accommodation per person in 2016 is $45 in a tent and minimum 2 nights are required.

Everything was great! There were plenty of activities.  The cost was not bad at all. You can go tubing,  kayaking, canoeing and fishing.  There are activities in the surrounding area too. Luray Caverns,  Garden Maze, Rope Adventure Park, Car and Carriage Museums (for a fee) and lots of scenic areas to visit.  The reason I gave them 4 stars is the nets,  flies and/or beetles took over the place. Otherwise,  they would have rated 5 stars.

Small campground with excellent water access. Grounds well kept. Most RV spots have sewer and power hookups.

ANIMAL LOVERS PLEASE READ!!
We decided to go to this campground for a week in the summer of 2015.  We had some family members stay there and liked it.  We were looking really forward to it till we went to make reservations and they claim to be pet friendly but obviously they don't know breeds and temperament of the breeds.  We have a 10 year old Great Dane( Gentle Giant) weighs 100lbs those are the less aggressive of almost all breeds.  They told us we couldn't bring her and we were welcome but she wasn't.  Well they lost my entire family money.  I was very upset...not cause we couldn't stay but the stupidity of the people running this place.  Maybe they need to do better research on dogs before denying a dog to come stay!  Even when my Great Dane is gone....I wont stay there!! I would much rather be around her than your smallest breeds that do bark and bite..  I am a dog lover and she is a part of my family and where she isn't welcome I wont be going!!

This last "loop" we took involved staying at a lot of Campgrounds/RV Parks in our Motorhome.  Outlanders River Camp was a place we left wishing we could have stayed a LOT longer. We stopped there so I could take my wife to Luray Caverns.  If you go here, call Chryssie at Yellow Cab (if you need transportation) who took us to the Caverns.  Back to Outlanders, book ahead, this place fills up and we got a spot only because someone left early.  Campground is high in the hills with beautiful views and the shenandoah river is on the perimeter. There are tubing trips, fishing and even bears.  Very cool place and the staff was helpful and went the extra distance to get us in there when they were full.
