I found this place to be enjoyable in some forms (quiet, peaceful), but lacking in others (amenities).  The brochure described several things at the campground that we found no longer existed.  The hot tub had plywood over it, the water slide hadn't been used in years and was overgrown.  The pool appeared clean and was the bright spot!  The camping spaces are small, with the sewer connection of your neighbor in your front yard.  Spaces are not level (which helped with the rain draining off!), and grass is patchy.
Overall, if you have no kids, and are just looking for a quiet get away, great place.  If you have kids, this is not the place it claims to be on the brochure.

I travel for a living and have been at Front Royal for over a month now.  Beautiful quite campground.  Owners are very nice and accommodating.  Beautiful pool.  Only complaint but not major are the uneven sites. This is not a commercial kind of campground where they just pack them in.

We loved this place! Very simple campground, no frills, but wonderful. Big pool. Owners very nice and accommodating. Very well priced. We plan to go here again next year.

Fantastic campground. Lots of things on site to accommodate families and occupy children. A short drive from Shenandoah National Park. Tent sites were a little uncomfortable for my parents, but I was perfectly comfy.

We stayed for a week and enjoyed ourselves. Glad we chose this campground despite some of the negative reviews! It was quiet and we had a great site with a wonderful view.
