Pepper Tree Inn, located at the heart of Tahoe City tells its own unique story. Built in anticipation of the 1960 winter Olympics, with its mountain décor, amazing views of the Summit, and Lake Tahoe’s crystal clear waters. It’s the perfect getaway!

Had a wonderful stay over and enjoyed the great view of the lake. The room was very clean and cozy. The complimentary breakfast was varied and filling. The employee who checked us in was friendly and answered all our questions and upgraded us to a room with a better view. Would definitely visit again. Our only complaint was that the coffee maker in the room was complicated to operate. Thanks for a great stay!

We've stayed at the Pepper Tree several times.  I wouldn't describe it as "fancy", but the rooms are clean and very comfortable, and the employees are hospitable.  If your room is in the tower, you will have a GREAT view of the lake.  In the tower or not, the hotel is in a wonderful location and is close walking distance to lots of fun things and places in downtown Tahoe City.  We'll go back again.  Two thumbs up!

This was a nice hotel located right in the middle of Tahoe City. Like most other things in Tahoe City, this place wasn't very cheap, but the rooms were nice and clean with a fantastic view that looks over the lake. The hotel included all the basic amenities that you'd expect, along with a pool that's open during the summer. The customer service was very good and overall we had a great experience at this hotel. I'd recommend it to friends or family if they wouldn't mind the extra cost they'll have to pay to get a room at any hotel in Tahoe City.

Really great spot in Lake Tahoe. From the outside it doesn't look like much. It definitely had a "motel" feeling when you looked at it. However the inside is newly remodeled and extremely comfortable. When you're inside it feels like a 4 star hotel. The staff were friendly and courteous and willing to help with any of our needs. It also has a great view of the Lake and is perfectly situated in town to be able to walk around to the restaurants, shops and bars.

Great place to stay for visits to Squaw and Alpine Meadows. Nice view of the lake and a covered parking area for when it snows (if there is open space). Whole coffee beans and coffee maker in the room. Breakfast starts at 7 am. There is a ski shop across the street that has quality rentals as well. Only complaint is the lack of quality wifi. I needed to do some work virtually but was unable due to how poor it was.
