Well we've been going there for nearly 10 years now and we look forward to returning next season. The location is great for skiing, shopping, and dining yet it feels like being out in the woods. When I get off the slopes it is nice to know that I have a warm, comfortable room waiting just up the road. And the poker rooms are terrific! See you next year!

Very pleasant stay at the Tamarack lodge, they were very accommodating and helpful with having our dog and the numerous room options with kitchens to be able to prepare food. Having been the first time staying at the Tamarack lodge after visiting the area many times, I will definitely stay there again when in Lake Tahoe.

We stayed in the two bedroom cabin that Tamarack Lodge offers. It was my family of 8, (grandma, Aunt, 4 kids, my husband and myself). This was a great deal for the price (vs. two or three individual rooms)! it had a full Kitchen that we were able to make/store food and eat in, two bathrooms, and a patio on the back to sit and enjoy coffee. We stayed the weekend for a family wedding and the lodge was very very close to Tahoe city...but not right in the middle of it which was a big bonus for us. The bus stopped right in front of the lodge if you wanted to take it the 1 mile down to Commons beach or you could walk on the trail that was not on the road. The family who owns the lodge was very hospitable and even chatted over coffee at the huge fireplace they have outside the morning we left. The lodge has a great history (I love old stories) which the owner doesn't mind sharing, he also gave us recommendations and directions to nearby beaches that were better suited to our family! They were very hospitable and we would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Rooms are dated but that didn't hinder the experience. The beds were comfy the TV worked great. The owner was amazing and friendly. Truly Tahoe, great place to stay.
