This place was really great. Not only is it in the center of town well within walking distance but it also had free parking. We looked at other hotels in the city and they didn't have the same conveniences that this Marriott Hotel had. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. We needed a fold-out bed and they were very prompt in getting it. They also texted my cell phone several times to ask how we were doing and if they could help. The rooms were very clean, the beds very comfortable and the bathroom quite luxurious. Downtown Providence isn't known for being the safest place in the world however, we felt secure in the hotel and in the room. All-in-all we would definitely stay here again and recommend that others do so as well. If this review helped, please hit 'Like'. Thanks.

A bit old and outdated, low water pressure in the shower, highly responsive customer service- folks tried to be attentive and helpful which was very good, food was average, can possibly make do with this hotel for work- trying one other place nearby to compare it to, but certainly not up to my standards for leisure travel. The hotel really could use a refresh. Should be downgraded from a category 7 to a category 6 hotel. Very big place with a restaurant, indoor and outdoor pools, a gym, business center, lounge, and beauty shop, which is good, but the room itself was less than inviting.

The Marriott chain is in need of some TLC, or else I do not see it being around much more. I try not to stay at the Marriott's because of past experiences in Orlando. But was at a convention and this was the show hotel, so I though to try it again. If you value comfort and cleanliness, AVOID this hotel. Upon check-in the staff was friendly and nice and the aroma in the air was quite nice. That is where the positive points end. The rooms are very very very old. Wallpaper is peeling, rips in the carpet, frames of doors pulling away from the drywall, poor lighting if you want to do any work in the rooms. One of the oddest things is that there is a lamp permanently bolted to the desk that is positioned in such an awkward position that you cannot sit on the desk and work. I had asked for a higher floor in my room requests, and got floor 2. If you do stay on a lower floor, be aware that there is no lock on the windows. There is a bolt preventing it from opening all the way, but the windows can open from the outside. PLEASE BE CAREFUL The hotel is located bordering a not so safe neighborhood, just down the street from a strip club. As I took a drive to find some late night eats, I found my self in some not safe neighborhoods all around the hotel. Plus side, it is close to the downtown area. Before booking your room here, know that you have options.

Great location with quick access to highway. Nice size rooms and courteous staff. An amazing gym also

Went for dinner and drinks. Place was great. Food was wonderful. Great beer. Hotel is nice as well,but didn't stay in a room.
