Disappointed in front desk service. On checking in, while I was recognized as a Diamond member, I was nonetheless asked for ID. When I pointed out that I was a diamond member, and as such didn't usually have to provide ID, un-smiling Alexa snapped, glaringly, that she always needs to verify identity. Fair enough.
After checking into the room, I noted a generator running outside that would have kept me up all night. Manager Jason was good enough to move me to a beautiful suite on the other side of the hotel. Thanks, Jason! Well-played.
When I was ready to head out for dinner, I again stopped at the front desk and asked directions to a restaurant I had found online. Unsmiling Alexa sent me, with uncompromising confidence, in the opposite direction of the restaurant-out the wrong door and down the wrong street. I walked many blocks before looking on my device to realize the restaurant was less than two blocks from the hotel. Thanks, Alexa. I didn't need the extra exercise.
I understand being new at a job, or being unsure of something. We've all been there. Humility will win people over. Wrong directions and snappy assumptions will do the opposite. 
The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and well-kept.

This is a very nice hotel. Rooms are comfortable, breakfast is good, and the staff are all very professional and helpful. The detail and design of the first floor is incredible - very historic.

Went to visit Providence for the FireWater festival. First off front desk agent "Dee" was fantastic! For being just a Hilton Honors member, you are rewarded with a snack and water bottle!
This hotel is at the heart of the city so it's easy to access anywhere!
They do have complimentary breakfast! They don't have complimentary parking (valet for $28) however behind the hotel there is overnight parking for $20 bucks! I'd definitely weighs come back here!

It's in a nice location. Great restaurants around. Rooms are standard, nothing special. Could do with updating.

Great staff. Good location, very central to everything in downtown Providence. Breakfast was 'meh' at best. Nice, quiet hotel with a cool structural design.
