Quiet campground in September shared with peccaries and vultures. Cute but hot and humid. Thank goodness for the canyon trail

I really want to give this 5 stars, but I due to the large number of spaces and their close relations to each other, I'm only giving it 4. The grounds are clean, the restrooms are clean and water is easily accessed. For those in need of hook ups, this is a great place to call home. The general store just outside of the grounds are good for limited needs and some beer. They also have coin showers that have well pressurized and the wifi is very strong that they have. You can expect to see lots of people on their phones, laptops and other items streaming and checking in with people as cell service isn't happening down here.

The hosts are helpful and friendly. This site has the most space out of all the other ones and if you arrive early you will definitely get a spot. It has a nice variety of enclosed sites as well as ones out in the open. The bathrooms are clean and there is drinking water.

Really enjoyed staying here for my first visit to Big Bend! We knew that there would be no water or elec at our site, but I just loved how they have "carved out" some wonderful, private campsites in the thick landscape in the back. Picnic tables were nice, the bathrooms were clean and showers warm. Also enjoyed the free wildlife show of watching the wild javelinas roaming through the empty camps! (no threat) Will definitely come back again. But don't forget to bring some extra water, which can be a little challenging to find sometime.

I'd give it 5 stars, but no cellular or WiFi anywhere except at the little store. Also the trees need some pruning to get big rigs safely through. Nice sites and a nice little hiking trail from the camp. I saw a bobcat near the camp store! There are also lots if roadrunners arounf the campground.
