Be aware that the pizzas are personal size despite being $16+ each. The flavor is also very underwhelming. The sauce on the wings was good.
I ordered Mushroom Orzitto which is the least expensive item and the only vegetarian option on the Pasta menu. The portion was smallish, especially considering the price, and there being no side dish included. And $4 for a soda even with free refills seems a bit high. Sure, the food is a step above Olive Garden, but I think I'll take a step back until my income matches this expectation. Vegetarian options: Each section of the menu has a single vegetarian option. Kid-friendliness: This is more of an upscale place, so unless your kids are very well behaved in public, you might want to choose elsewhere. Parking: Parking is limited and crowded during business hours. But there is free covered parking under the nearby apartment block, courtesy of the Transit System. Dietary restrictions: They have gluten-free pizza crust available for most selections.
Stopped here while charging at the Tesla Superchargers recently. Cute place, clean comfortable. I can't eat wheat or eggs and still found lots to choose from. The hubs ordered a pizza and he thoroughly enjoyed it he says it'd score a 5 out of 5. I got the chicken lettuce wraps, which were OH SO good! The chicken was flavorful and I do believe that was Butter Lettuce served with them whatever it was, it was WAY better than iceberg. They had a good drink selection. Our waiter was polite, helpful, and attentive. The bathrooms are clean of course, I didn't actually see the men's but accepted the hubby's report on it In addition to being yummy it's right beside the superchargers. We'd totally go again! I forgot to mention - 3 times I heard the manager actually THANK an employee. Three different times, three different staff members, the manager on duty said either 'thank you' or 'I appreciate you'. That made me feel good, there's nothing worse then hearing a manager put a staffer down on the floor in front of customers. Thanks for reading my review!
I've gone to Sammy's a few times over the last couple months to celebrate birthdays and to have family dinners with my S/O's family. It's close to our house and if you park in the structure next door, there's ample parking. Admittedly, the food is decent. We tend to go during happy hour and will typically order pizza, salad, and other sharables for the table. Unfortunately, the service is what brings this review down. It is incredibly slow. On our last trip, it took over 20 minutes to get a drink order in 90 percent water, and then another 20 or so minutes to place our orders. The restaurant didn't appear to be that busy, and I'm unsure if they're having staffing issues. I'm typically not one to complain, but I've given them the benefit of the doubt multiple times, and the service is still sub-par.
Been here over a 100 times in the last 20 years and always liked it. The last time we went had major issues with the check. Handed them two cards to split the bill and they charged both cards full price! Brought up the charge and it took them 25 minutes to "fix" it however they did not fix it and ended up charging a few dollars more than it should been. Alfred the manager was absolutely the worst manager I have ever dealt with. He made it seem like we were taking advantage and it was our fault despite clearly being there fault. He was extremely rude and we have not gone back since. It sucks Sammy's hires managers as bad as Alfred. I guess losing customers is better than hiring competent managers!
Like many places..the menu has many tasty dishes..and some not so good..just depends on what you order. The big problem is staffing...specifically, they seemed understaffed which made our dining. experience really slow.. It is a place that you dont want to give up on but you keep hoping it improves. I wouldnt risk a first date here if I were still single nor bring the kids if they were starving and prone to melt downs.
Absolutely cursed location. Each of the last four times I came here the service was terrible, seemingly due to staffing. The wait at this location is routinely thirty minutes longer than the location a ten minute drive away. But what really prompts this review is coming to a less than half full restaurant, being told to seat myself, and then sitting for fifteen minutes without being offered so much as a glass of water. The $25 chopped salad is great, but I’m never coming back.
Got the Margherita pizza and it had the perfect amount of garlic, basil, and tomato. Our server Ivana was super friendly and attentive and helped us with a couple of our guests with dietary restrictions.
Went with group of 12 for lunch. Only one server, one was late, so initial service was slowed. Clean bldg, good food and atmosphere. Fair prices. Front area opens up to outside air.Food: 5/5
This is what a $10 "shareable" order of truffle fries gets you at Sammys. There is also no measurements for the pizza on the menu and it appears the same size as a medium from most places and only 6 slices of subpar pizza. Definitely not worth the price
