While looking for a newer used car for my mother. I found a nice Rav4 online at Texas Toyota of Grapevine. The price was very competitive so I called to ensure that they had it before we drove up. I spoke with Carl in used cars and asked if they still had it. He politely asked me to hold on while he verified that it is actually still on the lot. Which I appreciate since it is quite a bit of a drive for us to Grapevine. Once arriving the car was waiting ready for us to test drive. It was a quick and easy decision for us since it was a very clean car and drove well. We did the whole back and forth for the trade in value of her old car as dealers never value your old car as much as you do. But they ended up getting extremely close to what she wanted for it. We worked with Alex for financing. He was very thorough explaining all of the paperwork. We initially declined the extended service plans as my mother is retiring and needed to keep her payments to match her budget. Alex was able to get a protection package that would cover her enough but without going to far over her budget. When getting the keys to leave with the new car. Earlier I had hassled Carl about the gas light being on. He had said that they don't usually fill up cars but he would see if he could put some in it so we wouldn't have to stop at any gas stations on the way home as it was already late. When getting into the car. I asked him if he remembered to hook us up with a little gas to get home. He apologized and said he had forgotten. But as my mom started the car he pointed out that he had actually filled it all the way up. Very smooth Carl. So if your looking to purchase a used Toyota go see Carl. This was one of my most pleasant car buying experiences.

I would like to say that my buying experience at Texas Toyota of Grapevine was probably one of the best I have ever had.  Everyone there from the sales staff, Nael the GM, Jeff the new car sales manager and Grady in finance were great!  Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and not pushy.  They took their time explaining, there were no tricks in the paperwork, I was given exactly what we had talked about.  I cover a lot of mileage in my work and have purchased new vehicles every few years...this was the best experience I have had from any dealership. I highly recommend Texas Toyota of Grapevine.

Recently, my car was serviced by this Toyota for an airbag recall (manufacturer problem). I picked up my car at the end of day on Saturday and my car topped out at 40 mph on the highway, representing a danger to myself and others. It was already too late to go back and luckily I was able to make it home safely after having to pull over. Additionally, my wife's car is now missing pieces from its dashboard that were not missing before and this was not communicated to us.

The only reason we brought our cars in was for an airbag recall. We had to take time out of our day to fix a MANUFACTURER PROBLEM. I brought in my car to fix a safety issue, and as a result, my car is less safe than it was before. This experience is making me believe that the recall was nothing more than a reason to get our cars into their building to try and make a profit.

Now, I'm writing this review instead of working because I couldn't get a hold of my technician, the service manager, or the owner Neal Asaad after calling THREE TIMES throughout the morning. I am missing valuable time at work and this is completely unacceptable customer service for a member of a family who has been loyal to Toyota.

UPDATE: Two hours after my initial call, I received a call from the service manager. He told me they could tow my car (at my expense) back to the dealership. I would have to pay for the repair that coincidentally arose from their recall service. Also, he informed me that I would have to rent a car for $35 a day to commute to my job because Toyota would not be able to give me a loaner car.

Unless I am given the customer service I expect from Toyota, I will be strongly recommending my friends, family, others away from their services.

UPDATE: I was able to get my car back to the dealership, and after some strong convincing, I was able to get a free rental car for a day, and they repaired my car (at my expense) and it is working correctly. 

My wife's car still has missing pieces, which has not ever been addressed. When I talked it over with Toyota, they just said they were ordering the pieces, but never asked which ones they were. So that leads me to believe that they knew which pieces were missing as a result of their services and completely failed to communicate that fact. A week later, still no update on the pieces. I have a hard time believing they actually ordered the correct ones.

They have a 94 Supra for sale there that I saw online. I was very interested in the car so I called to make sure the car was still available. They said yes, and called me every day after at least twice a day to make sure I was still going to check it out. Finally, I went 4 days after the day I called and the guy that was supposed to help me immediately starts asking if I was going to trade in or how much I had to put down. I hadn't even looked at the car yet. When I asked to see the car first he said "let me get the keys" and came back with an application to run my credit. He said "my boss said you have to run your credit. A lot of times people like to look at cars and then find out they can't afford it. We're trying to protect ourselves. Put yourself in our shoes." I told him he doesn't need to worry about my credit, he needs to worry on whether I truely like the car or not. He asked me what I estimate my credit score at so I told him. He immediately ran and got the keys and said "let's go on a test drive" and I told him I wasn't interested in the car anymore. I left. As of today, the car is still for sale. They've changed the price on it and still no one has bought it. Maybe they shouldn't work on the price of the car, they should work on the customer service.

Great customer service, I had been looking for a tundra at 3 other dealerships and they have me the best deal at Toyota of grapevine. Sales man Sam and his team worked with me and got me the best deal possible. Definitely buying more cars from here
