I've had so much foot pain the last few weeks I've been limping at work. I'm a pharmacy tech. I stand/walk all day. After going to Good Feet (never again) I went to Colorado Running Company and it was a completely different, awesome experience. Ashleigh was extremely helpful and friendly. She mapped my foot on their machine, then helped me figure out exactly what shoes and inserts should help me with the pain. And for a decent price with the ability to return them if they aren't working. Good Feet quoted me a price of, minimum $330, and the product cannot be returned. Colorado Running Company has just become my go to shoe store!

I took an active elderly friend to The Colorado Running Company to see if they had any advice on shoes. She walks on the treadmill a bit and will wear her athletic shoes to the store. She has a couple of toe challenges that make fitting her a tough. We worked with Peter, he was amazing. He spent a lot of time trying different shoes and watching how she walked in them. He also wanted her to know that she can return them if she decides they are not working. She is really happy with the ones he helped pick out.

Conor helped fit me for shoes yesterday and he was amazing. I have never been fitted before and he made the process go smoothly and made sure all of my questions were answered. He is very friendly and knowledgeable about this sport and helped me understand why the shoes I have been purchasing may not be the best for my feet without making me feel silly about it. I will definitely be shopping for my running shoes at The Colorado Running Company and giving you guys a good recommendation.

Peter Fleming and the rest of the crew at Colorado Running Company are amazing. I have gone in with pain or questions and have always come away impressed with the time the team is will to spend with me asking me about my goals, where I run, what I am training for and what races are on my horizon. Once they get the data they need they put me in the right shoe for me. I am a pronator and have hurt myself in the past being in the wrong shoes for me purchased from other places. I will continue to go back because I feel like I get coaching, mentoring, counseling, motivation and a great shoe for just the price of the shoes.

I’ve been into this store on 2 different occasions for gym shoes and the sales associates were knowledgeable, accommodating, and attentive to what I was looking for, asking questions like what features are important to me, why I feel they are important, and then matching me as best as possible to what they had in stock. Their brand selection is pretty diverse although they don’t usually have a wide selection of color options. They are a local business too, which is always a plus in my book. However, they are a running store, so don’t expect a wide selection of gym shoes from them. I am not sure if they have any at all in fact. I’ve read that you can sometimes get away with running shoes with certain types of gym workouts but it’s not ideal, especially if you aren’t actually doing any running in the shoes. Case in point, I had purchased Brooks Pure Flows on my first trip which by and large have held up for most of my gym needs while helping me transition to zero-drop shoes. My previous gym shoes were 8 mm drop and these I believe are 4 mm. But in the inner arch area I have worn the cushioning all the way down due to rope climbings and descents, and it got to that point after only 2-3 WOD’s. On my second trip, I went in looking for a certain Inov-8 brand shoe that would address this problem. I specifically told the associate that I am looking for an Inov-8 brand crossfit shoe. She paired me with the only Inov-8 brand shoes that they carried, which were trailer runners. She did offer an alternative brand for a wider toe box, the Altra’s, but they were also running shoes. The reason I am giving this store 3 stars is because while on my first trip I was really impressed by the associates’ knowledgeability and attentiveness, they ended up selling me on a pair of running shoes ultimately, despite stating that I will be doing crossfit in them. On my second trip, I again stated I will be doing crossfit and was again recommended different types of running shoes. I understand that the store is trying to sell shoes, but I feel there can be some type of transitionary line the associates can say, like “While we don’t sell gym specific shoes, this is what we do have...” Without it, I feel like the associates are just trying to sell me anything at all.
