Mission

The Little Gym of Durham-Chapel Hill is a warm, inviting, and positive environment where we repeatedly create opportunities for children to feel accomplishment and celebrate their successes. Our teachers ignite a spark in every child with tons of specific positive feedback that builds up their confidence through an amazing amount of 3D learning and skill growth. Our whole team works together to consistently, clearly, and enthusiastically engage our member families in a meaningful conversation about the valuable benefits of our program for their child. Coming to The Little Gym is the most brilliant, fun and energetic experience of the week for all the families who join us!

I take both my daughters to this Little gym for almost one year now. To be honest I only come to this location because of Teacher Danielle. She is truly the best teacher I have ever had, and we have had many! She is so attentive, gentle and creative when dealing with all the kids. It comes so natural and you can tell that she loves working with kids! She makes class so much fun for the kids... AND ADULTS! :)

My daughter joined a gymnastics class at this location when she turned 2 in September.  Every class we've attended has structure and a clear lesson for the day.  The teachers do a great job engaging the kids AND parents in active participation.  My daughter loves every minute of her time here!  The staff is very friendly and helpful.  I also love the fact that we're not locked into a program for a certain period of time.  You have the option to take a break and come back later if necessary (which is probably what we'll end up doing because I'm due with baby #2 in December!)  I highly recommend The Little Gym of Durham-Chapel Hill to any family who enjoys being active and wants to see their children learn and grow while having loads of fun at the same time!

My 3 year old daughter Duncan  *loves* the Little Gym! She has taken two sets of Funny Bugs gymnastics classes as well as the Sports Skill class this fall and several drop-off camps over the summer.  I have seen so much growth in her interpersonal, intellectual, and physical skills since she has been a part of LG. Her coordination/balance and her willingness to task risks are awesome! 

As an only child, Duncan has found the idea of taking others' perspective a bit challenging ...but she has grown in leaps & bounds in her ability to share, take turns, and to ask for help thanks to the support & structure of Little Gym.  The staff at LG are all patient, caring, and creative ...and their collective sense of gentle humor and acceptance makes space for all types of kid personalities.  In the the midst of all the learning and growing, Little Gym is truly a super fun place to be (I just need to find an adult equivalent for myself! :) )

My daughter has been going to The Little Gym from age 12-17 months. After we tried our first week, I also took her to various open playspaces, to see if she enjoyed them as much. We tried two mall play areas and a drop in playspace. They did not compare to the fun she has a the little gym. I also enjoy seeing the same kids and parents each week and making new friends. The instructors are always enthusiastic and each class is packed full of activities and learning opportunities. Something simple like getting out the balls and then singing about putting the the balls away is such a thrill for the kids. With optional practice times and a great make up class policy, we really do get a great value out of the monthly fee.

My son has been attended The Little Gym for the past 8 months and adores it.  The staff is so friendly, the facility is clean, and it's a great way for my energetic little guy to burn energy.  It has been so fun to watch his confidence grow.  Highly recommend!
