I submitted my passport application here a few weeks ago for only the state department to send me a letter saying the application wasn't signed. The lady was so busy rushing she didn't even tell me to sign the application and its partially my fault for thinking the people at this location knew what they were doing. Not a good experience and would not recommend for passport submissions.

Terrible location. Please go somewhere else. Employees are quick to talk and dont listen or let the customer speak. Sylvia was atrocious who didnt let any words get out of my mouth and seems as if she was better than everyone else. Terrible management and employees. Need to restaff ASAP!

Don't even bother to go to this location! Their customer service is horrible! They don't give you a chance to explain yourself and they don't even try to help at all. This postal office needs new employees that know about customer service and actually understand! You're better off going to fairfax or Arlington !

Worst experience. That Chinese lady who works as a clerk must be fired. She is a horrible employee and she is rude to every single customer. Very unprofessional

So I'm going to have to agree with the majority of people here.  I dropped off a priority package on 27 June at around 1:40 pm.  I handed it directly to the lady.  It was an Etsy package from my company and the customers paid extra for priority shipping.  They contacted me on 30 June saying that the tracking wasn't updated.  I called this USPS location on 30 June at around 4 pm to inquire about the package.  I asked if maybe it was dropped, fell behind something, whatever, could they just look.  I was told over and over that this location does not hold packages overnight, it was impossible for that to happen, maybe someone at Merrifield didn't scan it in.  Well, today I checked the tracking and seems about an hour after I called, it was scanned AT SPRINGFIELD, then shipped to NC the next day.  It was a 3 day delay in the shipping because of incompetence, and trying to protect that incompetence.  I even screenshot my phone at the time of the call and the time of the shipping.  Fix your processes, USPS Springfield, totally half assed this one.
