As with any government office, the service is as good as the person working behind the desk. Here sometimes good, sometimes not as good. It is better than other places I’ve been. If I sell something on eBay or Amazon, I can put the pre labeled item on the desk and leave (no line) yay!!! I love that part. :). I wish their hours were earlier but, it is a government office after all.

Sent package from Kansas 2 weeks ago. It was important that the recipient got this package right away. According to tracking information, delivery was attempted only one (1) time and then the package was stamped "Address Unknown" and "Return to Sender." I got it back a week later. This was not service, not to even attempt a second delivery is ridiculous! So now I had to send the package back, this time Priority. It should have been there on Saturday, December 16. Today is the 18th and tracking still shows that it's "on it's way." Meanwhile, tracking also shows the package is sitting right there in Phoenix's post office and NOT ON IT'S WAY!!! This is a horrible way to run a public service, a government service i.e. the U.S. Post Office.

I really like this office close to my house, unfortunately I was refused service for having too many (60) small tubes to ship I was referred to an office far from my house He told me that he couldn’t serve me because I had too many packages and there was only two people working So I went to the recommended office where they had TWO workers also I was pleasantly served and spent $300 on shipping So I didn’t inconvenience this gentleman for 20 minutes he inconvenience me and sent me Half an hour drive away each way Who refuses making money? Who gets Scared of a little hard work or a challenge? I’m going back today to send 30 packages and talk to your boss

This is the morst horrible post office I have ever been to. The post office opens at 8:30 am so I made sure to be there at opening to avoid a crowd. The place was empty and only one person was working the counter. Her name was Verdel. I was dropping off a box for shipment as well as 17 legal envelopes addressed to variousl law firms with professional documents. I'm saying the envelopes contained professional documents because it specifically relates to the reason I went to the post office in the first place. So she handles the box first. Verdel charges me for the shipping and gives me my receipt. She then literally throws the box into a bin and comes back to the counter. I couldn't believe it. She had zero regard of the care of the items she was processing. Now before anyone feels the need to comment that post office employees are busy and if I wanted the package sent fragile I should have sent it that way, don't. I get that post office employees get busy. The place was empty, the parking lot was empty. I was the only one there. Show a little common courtesy for peoples property that they are shipping. So I stare at her in amazement for a second then she says, are all of those envelopes the same weight? I reply yes. Are they going out of the country? I reply no. She says ok, I'm gonna show you what to do. She then goes over to a drawer and grabs out some stamps. One is a giant blue butterfly, the other a bell. She begins to ring up the stamps and I ask her if she is selling me stamps. She says yes and that I need 3 on each envelope. So I ask, don't you have the digital thing that puts the printed stamp on there? She states that they (management I assume) don't want them to do that unless they have to. .... Unless they have to? So I say, well I don't want stamps. I could've done that at home. They are, again, professional documents and I'd prefer the printed stamp on the envelopes rather that a giant blue butterfly and a bell. She says sorry, they won't let us do it. So I ask if I can speak to a manager or a supervisor. She says mhm and gets on the intercom. She then calls for Walter, a customer is requesting a manager at the front, Walter, a customer is requesting a manager at the front. So then this cat "Walter" comes to the front with a look on his face of complete, what the hell am I doing. Verdel looks at him and says this man wants to talk to a supervisor. He wants the printed stamps on these envelopes and not the sticky stamps and I told him we can't because I'm the only one here. (Verdel was literally telling the man "Walter"what to say to me. I knew this dude wasn't a manager). So "Walter" says to me, have you tried the kiosk. I reply, theres a kiosk? He says yes, I'll meet you over here. So we walk to a kiosk. He shows me what to do and then lets me know that I need to do that to every envelope. I ask if I have to sit here and run my card for each and every envelope. He says unfortunately yes. I proceed to let him know thats ridiculous. The lady is saying she can't do it (her JOB) because a line may back up yet there is literally no one here or in the parking lot. Verdel is nothing but a lazy employee who can't be interrupted from her seat to do actual postal work. I let "Walter" know I'd be making a complaint and then went back to ole' Verdel. I ask Verdel, what did you say his name was. She looks at me and realized she was figured out. She replies, his name is Ray. I say he's not a supervisor either is he. She says no, he isn't a supervisor but he's the only one I could get. Really, because you called for a manager on the intercom.... Verdel just got caught lying to a customer because she did not want to do her job. Ray just impersonated a manager and a postion with the United States Post Office as well as gave a customer a false name. Funny thing is, I'm also a government employee with the Department of Treasury and I know that misrepresenting yourself to the public is an incident that justifies termination. Straighten up USPS. Ridiculous...
