I just moved here and never had issues with other postal offices until this one. I had a prepaid flat rate envelope and handed it to a very rude counter person with an attitude. Well I handed it to the person and her response was you think your getting flat rate? I asked her why not, it fits just fine in it and closes without any issues. She just responds back that your not getting flat rate and she will not accept it unless I pay extra postage.. I was forced to pay an extra $4,00 for it. I never had any of these issues before and never received such rudeness from a postal person before... Worst location to go to and this location should be closed down!!!

I’m amazed there are any reviews over 1 star. Whereas there are a couple counter ladies that are courteous and offer good customer service, the over all vibe from management is that customers are a hassle and annoyance and somehow at fault for USPS ineptitude. Package pickup window - good luck getting someone there. Missing packages? maybe you’ll get them...someday. Shipments are usually a day late. Lobby shipping supplies and label bins typically dishevelled or empty. For some reason one of the mail carriers doesn’t know how to close the mail box. I got a PO box years ago because packages were either not attempted to be delivered or left out in a bad place and TOO many missing checks! Needs New Management!

In my neighborhood there is a “Way” and “Court” w same name. For 13 YEARS they have been (1-2x week) delivering the wrong mail to me!! Packages?, just as others say-on website. Online it says “tried to deliver...left notice”~~LIES~I am inside looking out window as worker BLOWS BY THE HOUSE Never to be seen again. There IS no Redeliver~if YOU don’t try to pick up then forget it. It’s SO unfortunate that a Public Service position is manned by someone who has NO CONCEPT of what That means!!! Being Military I see this attitude often in the VA system. However, with PROPER DOCUMENTATION a Sub-Par worker CAN BE RELOCATED (retrain or “on the train Home!). Your tax dollars at work😳

WORST POST OFFICE IN ATLANTA! I am forced to have a PO box due to my business, and when I first opened it about 10 years ago, the staff was AWESOME. Now, they are chronically understaffed, packages are constantly late, and even though there is a big sign that says "PO Box deliveries made by 11:00 AM," I NEVER get my mail until at least 3:30pm. If you have an issue, they act like it is your fault. There are currently two good counter service ladies, but the rest of the staff needs to be FIRED and RE-TRAINED, especially the PO box workers! Note that this location is THE only Decatur hub, and as such, a LOT of people need to be served, and professionally so. Avoid at all costs.

When an elderly neighbor's mailbox is overflowing, mailman brings the mail to her door, knowing that sometimes she needs a helping hand. Service at the post office is efficient and friendly.
