I'm so tired of this place. I just wish another one would open near me. I went in early (before 9 am opening time) to ship a package. The kiosk that is supposed to be stocked with USPS boxes and envelopes is empty and instead the only kiosk is locked up inside the main lobby. So I had to wait. An anticipated 5 min trip turned into a 45 min trip. The main thing that has irked me though is that the outside bin that accepts packages after you buy a label has been broken for OVER A YEAR. Staff is rude all the time. Every other USPS I go to, doesn't look like a homeless shelter. Everything is nice, clean, in working order, and fully stocked.

Delivery driver who drives in my area is terrible. Marked packages delivered which weren't delivered. I did the missing mail search and it took them several days for initial contact. During the time of the search, my package was finally delivered and only then did they respond and tell me that they were sorry and my package was truly delivered. I am now in another situation where the driver was supposed to bring the package to my house and didn't. They just left the notice in the mailbox. I was very upset and rescheduled the delivery and am still waiting for my package, I did the missing mail search again and have gotten no response. They are my least favorite company to deliver. I really hope they get shut down or different management because it's terrible! I love UPS an FedEx, they do everything right. This postal office is terrible!!

This place needs to be shut down. I always have issues with packages being delivered from this facility. If they're not shipping packages, then they're sending them back to the sender without shipping. This place absolutely sucks.

Terrible. We’ve lost a few packages the past couple months & 2 in the past two weeks!!! They are always leaving our packages in front of any apartment door/building and mark delivered. I don’t think they pay any attention to our apartment letters/building numbers. Wish they’d do better or just LEAVE ALL PACKAGES at the rental office. Would make things a lot easier! This has become a big issue so afraid to even order anything anymore! Just going to ship to store from now on unless UPS or FEDEX is delivering. Sad I should not be afraid to order something because it might never make it to my door.

My husband went to the United States Postal Service of Germantown, Maryland. He asked an employee to send mail containing time-sensitive documents out of country, and had let them know that it was of high importance that the mail is properly sent and received. Your employee immediately gave a specific type of packaging (which we later found was NOT necessary and cost us an EXTRA $32.95). and said that there was nothing else needed to be done for it to send to the location we requested. After being assured it would arrive to our recipient without any issues, you could imagine our shock when we received the same package with a "Return to Sender" label. It had papers attached stating that the package was "Rejected for Export.." because the "Package does not meet U.S. export regulations" due to the fact that the mail required an AES/ITN number. It is unacceptable that your employees allowed for this to happen, especially after my husband had expressed our concerns and explicitly explained how important it was to have our materials received. I am confident that this "mistake" could have been easily avoided, as it seems fairly simple for one of your employees to simply search this information in your system (the information we received was all on one page!). In addition, your employees at Germantown were very unprofessional when I brought up this issue to them later. First of all, they tried to put the blame on U.S. Customs. After (30 minutes later) realizing it was their mistake, they refused to call their office manager. Then, another employee started verbally abusing us out of nowhere (he was not even in the conversation, nor was he the office manager) and physically took papers away without asking. He made extremely rude remarks, such as "you don't understand English," and "I told you get out of here, you must not understand what I'm saying". Not only is this behavior unacceptable and frankly disgusting, I found it sad that this employee failed to realize how racially insensitive such words are, and how intolerable they are in the United States. Even worse, unlike other employees who had apologized to us after realizing the mistakes, he never did. In fact, he was hiding in the back office and listening, not knowing that I could see him. His name was either Trevor or Travis, and I fully expect that this issue is looked into. I am very disappointed that your employee seems to have had no training in how to interact with customers, let alone fellow human beings. Even though he is clearly racist, he should at minimum realize that certain things should be kept to one's self in a professional setting. Instead of being so quick to argue and insult a customer, he should at least attempt to know what the issue is about (again, he was not involved in the conversation and started spewing out rude comments and blame out of nowhere). No one else should have to go through such a terrible experience, and I intend to make sure that this issue is resolved for good.
