My son booked a cab on the United Taxi app, 8 hours ago, so he would be guaranteed to get to work on time for his night shift. At the moment the cab was suppose to arrive, he got a notification that they were experiencing a higher volume than normal (at 11:45pm on a Thursday). This is a known and reported glitch in the apps system (which has also been known to cancel your cab once in a while) so he called dispatch to be sure his cab was coming. He had 15 minutes left to get 5 minutes away. The dispatcher was rude and snarky and snapped at him that they can't help it if the roads are bad. My son booked 8 hours early. There was plenty of time to get here no matter what the condition. There is decent visibility, perhaps 1 inch of snow and it is not particularly slippery. The problem is with a faulty app and a unprofessional, rude and disrespectful dispatcher. A simple apology and confirmation that a cab was coming would have been appropriate. The company has had a very long history of problems with the app (since it came out). Considering that Kitchener is a tech hub, you would think they could fix it by now. There are also groups, classes and self help books that could reform the dispatcher but if all else fails a new career that does not involve talking to people might be in order.

Had to call them three separate times over the course of 45 minutes. Each time, dispatch said (rudely) the cab would be right there. As of now, they still haven't arrived, and I've been waiting in the cold for nearly 50 minutes. Use any other service, this is not the first time I've had this sort of experience with them.

I was exiting from Sobeys parking lot on Highland Road and there were both right and left turn arrows. I thought I left enough space for drivers who would make a right turn (in fact I did), but all of a sudden I heard that United Taxi driver was continuously honking at me. Apparently he thought that I was violating his space and there was not enough room to make a right turn. However, he drove and pass by me while I stopped. He swore at me while he was making a right turn using the F word here and there (If you were thinking that there is an enough space for you to move on, what is the reason for having such an ugly behaviour at first place?). O_O He was with a thick Eastern European accent (in case you might think that I discriminate, I am Eastern European too) and I was able to catch only first four letter of his licence plate: CAYT. What is more UNFORTUNATE is how the situation is (not) handIed by the management. I called United Taxi shortly after to report the inappropriate driver's attitude to a manager. Manager was not available when I called, therefore I left him a voicemail on Wednesday. Two days have passed and I still did not receive any response, so I called again. I was told he is in and out of the office and I was given an advice of "leaving him another voicemail"! I asked the lady on the phone that if I could leave a note for him, if she could pass it. I was told that she was won't be seeing him! I work at a hotel in Waterloo as a Guest Service Agent and I will not be calling this cab company ever again. This will prevent the hotel guests' interaction with the rude/inappropriate United Taxi driver.

Reliable pre-arranged pickup / drop-off at pearson from waterloo, Reasonable flat rates for this service. No comment on their on-street hailing for drunk usage.

Thank god for City Cab or Uber or anything else, which would be better then ever using this company! Rude drivers! The dispatch people are even worse! It makes me sick that the City of Kitchener even allows a company like this to continue operating!
