As an Amazon prime customer I get delivery notifications that are complete B.S. 4/5 of the orders I've placed in the last month have shown tracking status as delivered when they haven't or couldn't have been. Most recently yesterday the tracking info said "delivered and handed directly to someone at the office" however, the office was closed yesterday and I even went by just to be sure. This is infuriating  and it seems like they are marking packages as delivered to seem as if they are complying with the 2-day delivery I pay for with prime. As it has happened with most of my orders it can't possibly be an error which Amazon insists it is when I contact them. This is clearly an issue with the USPS here in Elgin.

Of the hundreds of deliveries postal workers make over the years, most people home in on the mis-deliveries so the rate is decent. However, I know they are tested on attention to detail and accuracy to get into their field so it should be an almost non existent problem. For my home in the Elm Creek subdivision, we've had about 6 discrepancies in the last 2.5 years regarding mail to the wrong house or a key for the larger box not being available. It seems to happen when important packages are expected for some reason. Never the less, we eventually got it with a phone call to the station. The calls I've made to settle the issue have always been productive and helpful. Today, 8-9-2017, I called about a small package that showed delivered but was not in the box. Come to find out it was in the larger box but the key was not placed into my box. The young lady who answered the phone, helped me out and called me back a few minutes later about the conclusion was very nice, courteous and professional. Thanks for handling my issue in a great manner!

Unfortunately those who work at postal service don't care about customers and won't return calls.  Don't schedule any pick ups as they will cancel your request and not call/explain why.

Elgin, Postal Service is "HORRIBLE" my mail has been delivered to the wrong address and left parcel at my front door that I have request NOT to leave to due to THEFT. Since, I have made numerous complaints regarding the service. They have now stated I hav to pick EVERY parcel mail up at the Post Office due to the kids super gluing the mail boxes. Which is not true. I have escalated mu complaint to consumer Affairs to see if they can do something about this.

Soo bad service, they need to change all the employees and put nice and loving people so we could have better service. I think someone should think about that.
