I don't know about the delivery side but the office itself is top notch.  Plenty of parking, efficient attendants and nice clean facility.  The lady with the bright glasses is the nicest most efficient usps person I have ever dealt with.  She has a great attitude too and I really appreciate that.

My husband & I also have to agree the Highland Park Post Office is up there as the most terrible Post Office.  It is very poorly run & our mail carrier drinks on his job we will never ever go into that place again.  Sometime ago I heard my wife place a call into the Highland Park Post Office, to notify them about our mail carrier.  He makes my wife feel so very nervous he is by far the most unfriendly & the WORST carrier we have ever had.  My wife tried to tell them that he has had the odor of liquor on his breath multiple times.  She told them based on the fact that he has been drinking he should be let go.  She got nowhere with them I said what did they say she said they acted like they wanted to sweep it under the rug, & keep it very hush hush.  I had to sign for a package the other day because my wife no longer wants to.  I have to say I also have smelt liquor from him many many multiple times when I now sign for our packages.  I 100% agree with my wife this mail carrier should be let go & not allowed to work for any postal service anywhere again.  My wife & I think this is the same mail carrier that the poster before us is talking about.

Wow!  I'm writing a review because of the posts I've read.  My experience with the Highland Park post office is the greatest.  The ladies that have made working that counter their career do a great service for the Highland Park community.  They are very professional, knowledgeable
and customer focused.  Thank you.  Individual mail carriers, now that's another story...

I just moved out of the Highland Park area recently so i don't have to worry about the Highland Park Post Office Branch taking actions against me for my review. My new Post Office Branch is great plus i now have a friend who works there. I still have a large numbers of friends that live in the Highland Park area i read all the reviews on here also the ones for the Main Post Office. The reviews that mention a mailman who is named Philip who drinks on the job & has done some other very serious acts are factual for i have talked to other friends that mentioned having problems with him. They all reported him & nothing was ever done they never disciplined him at all. If so many people have complained about him they could at the very least changed his route but they didn't. The Highland Park Post Office Branch is not Honest & Very Unethical so many people i know have stopped using this Branch altogether.

         I asked my friend at my Post Office Branch  she told me that the Highland Park Post Office Branch is notorious for squashing all reports on any of their employees. So aside from this really bad mailman my friend told me that if anyone were to complain about any employee at the Highland Park Branch  nothing would be done. She told me they protect their own & don't care about anyone's complaints. I have a friend that is in a wheelchair  & the Highland Park Post Office Branch was just so rude to her. They also shoved her mail into her mailbox causing some of it to fall out of her mailbox with her being in a wheelchair it was difficult for her to pick up. She asked them if they could please stop doing that & they did not. My friend  kept calling the office & they didn't call her back so she left them negative feedback & a bad review on line on a different site. Over a week went by she told me that she thought it was odd that she received absolutely no mail. So called the HP. Post Office several times she talked to both a supervisor & the postmaster both with the same name Jim. Both if them informed her that if she didn't stop leaving Negative Feedback & Negative reviews she would never receive her mail & that they have the right to stop her service whenever they please. And no one could force them to do so then if she were to get her mail delivered again she would have to put a mailbox at the curb near her street which is far from her door. Do you believe they treated a woman in a wheelchair like this.

        Another friend of mine who has several disabilities the HP. Post Office Branch did the same to him withholding his mail. He also talked to the same two Jim's that my other friend talked to they withheld his mail because he left Negative reviews on line. I have a 3rd.friend & she told me Philip her mailman offered her 17 year old son alcohol & he came on to him. She contacted the HP. Post Office about this they told her if she reported this she would no any longer get any mail so she canceled the report. The Highland Park Post Office Branch intimidates people about not getting their mail this is just so wrong because people should be allowed to leave their honest feedback anywhere they want & deserve action. Both the supervisor & postmaster with the same name Jim abuse their power  to get people to do what they want. This is a miscarriage of justice & should not be allowed to continue people have rights this is just so sick & disturbing that any of this is happening out there.

It is nice and comforting to read there are other people out there that know just how bad my mail carrier is and mentioned their bad experiences with him.I am sure there are even more out there who feel the same way, he is the most HORRIBLE mail carrier I have ever known.He listens to headphones and clearly doesn't care about what he is doing.I have lost track now at how many wrong envelopes and packages he has delivered to me.In the beginning when we had rain he would make sure my packages  would not get wet now he deliberately makes sure they get wet.The last 2 packages I received were soaking wet I don't know why he does this.I have always tried to be nice and respect him it would have been nice if he would have done the same thing towards me.I have seen him take very quick drinks from a bottle that he keeps with him from the smell I knew right away what it was really bad smelling alcohol.I decided to ask him why he drinks he said it takes the edge off.He said he has gotten very good and knows how to get rid of the smell of the alcohol so no one at the POST OFFICE knows that he has been drinking.He told me this a very long time ago I said it would be healthier for him to stop which he didn't want to do.It is very unsettling that he does this when he is on the clock with the POST OFFICE.
        It is not a shock to me about my mail carrier because he drinks and listens to headphones.I have seen many others talking on their cell phones while delivering mail so they all get away with things that should not be  happening on the job.My mail carrier has been just so cruel to me and has said such mean things to me.It is very evident that my mail carrier has a severe drinking problem and has severe anger issues.I talked to a supervisor about things that have happened and he just came up with excuses he told me I would get a call back within a few days.I never ever got a call back which has happened before the POST OFFICE never follows through with anything.The HIGHLAND PARK POST OFFICE is so Bad.They don't care and are difficult and very DISHONEST they have a mean mail carrier that drinks on the job.He should be Fired along with some others they are COVERING IT UP.One can only imagine what other kinds of things are going on.
