Story

Welcome Furniture opened in Crystal, Minnesota in October, 1982. In 1993, after experiencing steady growth for eleven years, the owners retired, selling to one of their salesmen, Ray Wiley, and his brother, Wes Wiley.

In 2000, Ray and Wes began showing Amish-built furniture, having met a distributor at a local furniture market. When they moved to their new 60,000 square foot store in Albertville in 2002, they were able to showcase a much expanded selection of Amish bedroom, dining, upholstery and accessories. The category really took off, and now accounts for eighty to ninety percent of sales.

Welcome added Smith Brothers upholstery in 1995 and reclining sofas and chairs by Best Chairs in 2002. These are both high quality lines that offer large selection, the best factory warranties available, and fit nicely with heirloom quality Amish furniture.

Offering superior quality and service at very competitive prices has driven Welcome Furniture's success since 1982, and brought many wonderful people to its doors. Wes and Ray deeply appreciate their support, and look forward to serving them and many new customers in the years ahead.
