I am so incredibly disappointed in this company. My fiance and I rented a car from 11/30/17 to 12/3/2017. When we got to our car, we walked around it and took pictures of any existing dents and scratches we could find in the dim lighting. Everything seemed to go fairly smooth when dropping the car off. However, yesterday, an entire month after returning the car, I receive a missed call from Enterprise. I thought maybe it was a sales call so I did not call back. Today I received a voicemail from Alamo. I called them back almost immediately. I spoke with Leticia who works for Alamo out of Oklahoma. She proceeds to tell me that the car we rented has damage (one month later?!). I told her about the dents and scratches on the car that we took pictures of before leaving their garage and also informed her that no damage occurred to the vehicle while we had it. She proceeded to tell me that it "might not have been us", but they would need to "investigate". I told her they should know exactly who is responsible for the damage as the car should be checked for damage upon every single return. Her response was "sometimes they get busy and can't check every time". I proceeded to tell her I should not be the one to pay for their negligence as it is their responsibility to check the vehicles for damage every time it is returned. I also informed her that I will certainly be contacting our attorney if Alamo tries to charge us for any damages. This is a nightmare. I will never rent from them again.

Disappointed that when I called Alamo @ the CMH airport to ask if I could extend my rental for the week as I was unable to get back to Tampa, FL (my home) I was quoted a price of $500! Not sure if I would even have a home to get back to - I even asked for a better price and told them my situation because of Irma.... nope! They wanted $500!! Thank you Enterprise for understanding and giving me a car for the week for $100! You will get my business going forward - not Alamo!

Rent at your own peril. The Columbus airport Alamo and national companies are a franchises. Customer service is severely lacking.

I flew into Columbus 2 hours late because of a flight delay and the original company I reserved my car from promised that they would be open to help when the plane landed. I arrived at the counter and of course they were closed. As I left to sleep in the airport for the night I saw an Alamo employee leaving for the night. I asked if he would be able to rent me a car and even though it was an hour after they had closed he was able to help me. He matched the price and gave us a better car than I would have got at another company. I could not have been happier with my experience there and the guy who saved me from sleeping in the airport!

Promised to "stay open" for a midnight arrival twice - arrived at the airport to find them closed and gone. Long story short, 2 employees promised that they added my flight info and they would stay open "until you have your car". Earlier that day, promised "I'll leave a note right here for them." I called when they opened the next day - no note. The original employee I spoke to (she is horrific!) told me there was no note, and "We close at 11:30." "If you want us to stay open, you have to call Gilbert and ask him." (Not working there, I didn't know this ... obviously). "So, you really don't stay open if someone is coming on the midnight flight?" "No - we close at 11:30." Sure wish I knew that before the trip instead of after. My favorite: mid-conversation, after explaining that they left me and a family wandering the garage looking for someone, she asks "Will you be picking it up when you arrive today at noon?" Incompetent.
