This was a very quick rental, just a couple of hours.  The service agent was nice enough, but was way too pushy concerning adding extras.  It's one thing to simply offer, it's quite another to keep pushing and making exaggerated claims to try and scare me into taking something I don't want.  Other than that, the process went quickly enough.  Unfortunately, the car wasn't very clean, but my time was limited, so I didn't have time to fuss about it.  Turn in was a breeze and I got my email receipt quickly. Overall, an average to below average experience, and not one that inspires me to rent with Alamo at this location in the future.  Unless their price is significantly lower, I'll probably try someone else.

First time renting from Alamo & I was very impressed. The rental process was awesome. I did the skip the line and it could not have been any easier. My wife & I walked to the Alamo lot & were greeted by a cheerful employee. She looked at my digital receipt & gave me the option of 2 cars in my category that were ready to go. I loaded up & drove to the checkout booth. A quick show of my license & credit card & we were on our way. Turn in was even easier. A nice man greeted me, scanned my car & printed a receipt. Done! This was so much better than renting from an off site company and having to wait for a shuttle & then wait for a car when you get there. On a previous trip I rented from an off site company and it took an hour for my shuttle ride and an hour in line to get my car. Then, a repeat of this for turn in. Never again! I am an Alamo customer from now on! I am pretty picky about customer service. Every Alamo employee I came in contact with was excellent. I give them my highest recommendation!

Normally I would give 5 stars however I didn't have a good experience the last rental.  I flew in with a winter storm warning, the man at counter recommended that I upgrade for safety with ice on the roads.  I did upgrade, went to get my Chevy Tahoe where a very RUDE man told me there was no vehicles.  I asked when one would come when he said "maybe next year"!!  In the cold I went back into the building to complain, and told them of my experience.  The men at the counter were very nice and found me a vehicle very quickly, went back out where the rude man was, he ignored me, I scraped the ice off my windows of the Tahoe I rented (which I shouldn't have to do) and left.  Hopefully the next time I travel this won't happen as I fly 4 times a year at least.

To Whom Ever decides to rent from Alamo,
Let me tell you that from my experience of car rental and I do rent a lot. Alamo Car Rental is absolutely the best place to rent from, the selection is out of this world with the finest of cars and trucks, vans what ever you need, and the customer service is better than any i have ever encountered. I am going to Texas in a couple of months and I will most definitely be renting from Alamo and that's all I got to say!!  GO ALAMO YOU CAN'T GO WRONG!!!

I joined Alamo Rent A Car before renting for the first time, because I heard they had a "skip the counter" program, which I thought sounded much better than the 95 minutes I waited in line the last time I was at Indianapolis International Airport.  
I paid in advance to rent a mid size car.  When I arrived at the airport, at the scheduled time, I was offered a Ford Focus, which is a very small car for a person my size.  I insisted that this wasn't a car in the category which I had paid for, and the woman insisted that a Focus is a midsized car.  I had no choice but to take it as she was not backing down.  But they sure will hear from me, as soon as I get home!
