Easy to pick up and drop off. The staff is always helpful and pleasant. I rent from them about 1 time a month and am always very satisfied.

The rental process through the Avis counter at Sears of East Town Mall in Knoxville was among the best I have experienced. The clerk providing service was fast, courteous, and helpful. 
The only thing that brought the experience down was the rental vehicle (through no fault whatsoever of Avis or the local center) - The Kia Forte is a vehicle that should not be rented. The CVT tends to shift up at the strangest times, and this led to some extreme stress during merges on the interstate (not knowing if the car was about to accelerate, or shift up and lug down to a crawl when it needed to speed up). 
The brakes also exhibited bizarre tendencies to either grab solid, or barely register. The nebulous, completely arbitrary nature of this behavior was also fairly unacceptable. If you need to brake, you shouldn't have to guess whether it will or not.

The ride was acceptable, given the class I rented (intermediate, between compact and full-size). The accessories (including hands-free Bluetooth connectivity) were welcome. BUT, first and foremost, a car is for driving, and the Kia Forte is unfit for that task. If you're offered a Forte, refuse it and demand a different vehicle.

In summary, I strongly recommend Avis, and equally strongly suggest avoiding the Kia Forte.

Had a good experience at first until 3 months later when they charged $224 to my credit card. I returned the car on a donut cuz the regular tie had developed a bubble. I can only assume that's what it was about since they didn't contact me in any way to inform me of the charges. Gutless thieves, plain and simple.

Easy rental process, fair price, and friendly staff. I will be returning to AVIS, and specifically this location, the next time I need a rental.
