I am an Alamo Insider and frequent user of Alamo for my rental car needs.  After we were informed of a family emergency the morning of April 4th, we needed a car to head out of town that afternoon. To that end I made an on-line reservation for pick up after work that afternoon. When my wife made it to the rental desk that afternoon she was told by the agent that no cars were available... even that fact that we had a confirmed reservation did not seem to matter one bit.. without any further attempt to help her she was left standing at the desk..like an idiot.. NO help was offered by the rental desk or the Alamo help desk I called.. After my question if there was ANYTHING they could do to help me, the answer was that she would contact the Area Manager and he/she would contact me about this mater..as of yet no attempt has been made to contact me. Very disappointed by this whole experience (who ever heard about overbooking cars!) and the way my complaint was handled( I left out troubling details about this experience). I will think very hard before using Alamo again...

Auto had mud on the seats from previous renter which then got on my wife"s clothing.  Also empty water bottle on floor.  No one to turn car into when returned.  And, final bill was incorrect.  However, all our minor complaints were addressed in a professional manner by your employees after turning the auto in.  Will use Alamo again.

IMO, Alamo is the best rental car company. Fair prices, availability, no BS fees. I've tried the others - sworn to Alamo now.

At first we had to wait in line because only one person was handling the National and Alamo car rentals. Later another person came to help. We were told where to pick up the car but wound up walking all over the lot until someone helped us. The car was not in an Alamo slot and the man that helped us electronically found the car with the key. Because we had been wandering around looking for the car, they gave us free gas! That really helped. Good job! We liked that car that we rented which performed well and was clean.
