I made my reservation more than 6 months in advance and when I went in to get the car it wasn't available. I along with another customer was told they were waiting on vehicles to be returned. A customer in front of me was offered a choice between 2 vehicles but when it was my turn I was told they didn't have anymore on the lot. When I asked about the vehicle that was offered to the previous customer I was told that it was reserved for another costumer. When I questioned the fact they were offering another customer a reserved vehicle they then told me that that reservation was just changed and I was then offered that vehicle. So in the end I was actually given an SUV in place of a car & charged the same price as the car. My trip was planned around the pick up time & it could have been postponed for an hour or two because of the lack of vehicles but they made it right & I was able to leave for my trip on time. However,  the back of the SUV I did receive was covered in dog hair. Good thing we have animals & are not allergic but still don't care for dog hair all over our luggage.

As I type this, I am currently in a vehicle of theirs. I rent from them at least once every other month. Almost every time, but once, I have had extremely dirty cars. Currently, the Camry I am in has a "maintenance required" light on. The car needs the tires balanced and an alignment really bad. Also, the tires are very worn. The trunk is covered with chunks of dirt. I don't mean a little amount, I mean it literally has chunks about 6 inches long and 2 inches high. The doors literally have visible dirt on them. It's extremely obvious that the car was not wiped down. The seats are terribly stained. I signed a contract stating I would not smoke in the vehicle, but as soon as I sat down in the vehicle I smelled a heavy amount of smoke odor. In fact, there are ashes all over the front panel and even in the glove box (I put the receipt in there and noticed it). The key is a single key without any buttons. It's very inconvenient, especially because we are in the year of 2017 and at this time of technology there really is no excuse for it. There are also stains on the top interior in the front and back of the vehicle. I understand some things are out of their control, however, I also understand that a little maintenance goes a long way. Even worse, the employees never do a walk around of the vehicle. This is a problem and has been many times for me considering my receipt will show the gas amount including a full tank, when in reality, the tank only has 1/4 tank. I'm extremely disappointed with this enterprise. However, I recently relocated to Tennessee and previously resided in the state of Louisiana. During my time there, I also rented many vehicles from there and had wonderful service and great maintained vehicles. As for Athens Enterprise, they are receiving one star from me simply because I cannot choose zero. Be prepared for frustration and good luck!

It's like they don't want to rent you one?! On line 71.99 a day unlimited miles...that's BS.
They wanted me to pay 421.00 one day compact car... Never never Again.

Excellent, professional customer service from Kelsey, Josh and Olivia during our recent rental experience, for an out of state trip, with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Athens, TN - a six star out of five star experience - from the moment we first entered the office to the return of the vehicle at the end of the rental period. Requested vehicle was not available at pickup due to having been returned with an issue preventing it from going back out, so we were promptly provided with another equally suitable upgrade vehicle. Vehicle was received clean and ready to go. One later question/point of clarification of the rental agreement was efficiently handled by Josh over the telephone. Received timely notifications before and during our rental period. Rental benefits were coordinated seamlessly with our insurance provider. Had no issues/concerns during our trip, and traveled with complete confidence in our Enterprise Rent-A-Car vehicle.
