I try to support my local bike shop. I bought a bike here over 10 years ago and it needed a rebuild, lots of wear and tear. I had the front shock rebuilt for over $90 and when they gave it back the lock out didn't work correctly and the knob was loose. I told them it worked fine when I gave it to them. The guy's response was it seemed to be missing a part maybe and I should send it to the factory for a bottom half rebuild. What? You charge me over $90, screw up my fork, then tell me to spend more money to get it fixed? I give them 2 stars for always being friendly and doing a good job on the drive line rebuild, but I'm never letting you touch my ride again. That's not how you get repeat business.

Great place, always get the help I need from the bike service dept.  Service dept open 7 days a week, keep me on the trails.  Helpful knowledgeable staff that all ride so they know what they are doing.  Very friendly and I enjoy talking about different trails and there conditions with staff.  I am happy I bought my bike here.

I've had good and "less desirable" experiences here. Recently purchased a hardtail, rode it a time or two, ultimately deciding to go for a full suspension bike  (swapped bikes twice, which is super appreciated). Over the course of maybe a month, I visited the store numerous times, spent hours in the store all told. Over my numerous trips to the store, sometimes I would come across an associate who is highly knowledgeable about the bikes (Gabe is the man, as well as Justin), but other times I might find someone who knew less about the bikes I was looking at than I did (and I'm brand new to mountain biking), which was a bit frustrating. I did, as I mentioned before, very much appreciate their "return policy" on bikes, that if you don't feel like the bike is ultimately right for you, you can return it, assuming it's in like-new condition. This is nice when you're spending a decent amount of money on a bike that you will likely have for a long time. They transferred in a couple of bikes to their store from another store, which I also appreciated, but both bikes were definitely not in 'new' condition. One was a previous model year, so ok, that's understandable I guess, but another was a 2018 and had paint rubbed off in a few spots. I guess bicycle village doesn't have much control over people riding bikes on test rides and doing who knows what to them. The service department seems good, knowledgeable, but I guess time will tell there. So, overall, a mixed bag of results with the good overriding the bad!

Had the unfortunate experience of bending my rear wheel.  Brought the bike in fearing I was gonna be buying a new wheel.  Ross took a look at it and felt it could be repaired, asked if I had time to wait while he worked his magic!  Ross was quick, pleasant and engaging with conversation.  He even took the time to give me a lesson on tires.  Wasn't a sales pitch but I was impressed with his knowledge and decided to buy a new set (I was due anyhow with 1,000+ miles on the current set).  Chad jumped in too with additional information.  Great guys!  BV has served me well again and they will continue to have my business!

Pretty nice place and selection. Some stuff is a bit over priced but they have things on sale constantly.
