Good source for spokes. Bad for customer service.

Ordered a wheel's worth of DT Swiss spokes. Was sent the correct spoke but the wrong color. Colorado Cyclist would not send me the correct spokes without charging me for a second order, even though it was their error in sending me the wrong items. Eventually had to kick it up to a manager, still had to pay for the "second" order of spokes but was able to eventually wrangle a slight discount on expedited shipping, and i have to return the original spokes and possibly pay for the return shipping, before they will refund me.

Sounded like the manager had his hands tied about what he could do.

What I would have done: Sent the correct spokes, expedited, at no charge. Told customer to either return or keep the wrong order. Said "Sorry, we screwed up."

Now looking for a better source for spokes.

These guys are great. I was having analysis paralysis with all the options available and they helped me clear that up.  I got a great bike at a great purchase.  Really I can't say enough.  Thanks guys!

Don't ever buy a Santa Cruz from Colorado Cyclist, the self proclaimed top SC dealer! Absolutely no service after the sale and has no idea what Customer Service means.  This company is tarnishing the wonderful brand of  Santa Cruz Bicycles.  Do yourself a huge favor and buy from a different company and save yourself a lot of unnecessary frustration and time!

I've purchased 4 bikes from Colorado Cyclist. They have great customization options, so you get exactly the bike you want. Every bike I've bought was set up perfectly and the build quality each time has been absolutely incredible. Every detail down to the cable cable routing is spot on. When you order a bike, it comes packaged tighter than a nun's $#@$@ and all the spare parts and manufacturer accessories in an organized bag. The team at Colorado Cyclist know a ton, and will go out of their way to make sure you are happy your shopped with them.

I ordered from Colorado cyclists on a Thursday and recived my order Saturday morning (wow) great service,very easy staff to work with very helpful and professional will be using them again.
