I rented a car through the budget website for $40 a day, not a bad price, but a terrible experience over all. The people at the counter were rude and inconsiderate with a "dont wanna be here" attitude. I needed to extend a day on my rental and was charged an additional $95 for the extension, so much for a budget. I was also charged $21 after the fact for a toll rode that I did not use. After calling to dispute the charge I was told there was nothing they could do. Tell me where in the world it even costs $21 to take a toll? Budget is a bunch of crooks, stay far far away from this one especially.

Don't EVER rent from this location.  Had a confirmed reservation and counter agent refused to honor the rate.  Said the reservation had been cancelled by corporate.  At no time were we given a notice.  Stranded, called corporate and was told the location cancelled the reservation.  When questioned, counter agent became hostile and refused service.  Several other groups of people were also in the same situation.  The agent called security because she was not going to serve anyone.  She was done for the day.

Was able to book an reservation last minute for a  compact. When I went to the counter the clerk told me they only had mid sizes available but would charge me for a compact. Thank you!!

Terrible! Go to UHAUL!!! I made a reservation and within 5 minutes cancelled it because UHAUL was cheaper! They still charged me a $50 fee. Never again!

This is a privately owned business, and should not be under the Budget Car Rental franchise. When I had my flight canceled out of Killeen and had to fly out of Austin instead, I found myself in a position where I could not return the car to the Killeen location. I called to see about returning the car to the location in Austin. Craig, the manager, told me that because they are privately owned that he would not let me take the car to Austin unless I drove all the way out to Killeen (an hour and a half drive from the Austin airport) just to sign a piece of paper. Not signing that piece of paper meant a $100 rental turned into a $500 rental. I asked Craig if that is the only issue, signing a piece of paper, and he said "Yes, that is all you have to do". I asked Craig if there was any other option and he said no, that his policy is the policy and that is that. I couldn't risk missing my flight and had to take the hit, $500 that I could hardly afford. Thankfully, the amazing people at the Budget in Austin were able to work with me, due to that location being corporately owned. A possibly $500 rental was bumped down to $280. I never thought I would see the day where a privately owned business has less scruples and poorer customer service than a corporate owned location. Do your research before renting a car, and just stay far away from this place. (These same guys also run the AVIS counter at Killeen, and I would suggest doing some research before renting from that location as well)
