Deceptive business practices. The salesperson misled me about charges. I had prepaid online for a pickup at 9am, and arrived a bit early at 8:30. When I picked up the car, the service rep swiped my card and told me they just ask for that, but I wasn’t being charged anything since I already paid. What I did not realize is that since I picked up the car at 8:30, they decided to add a charge for one extra hour, which was only a few dollars less than the full days fee! 

At no time did the salesperson explain this to me, and upon returning the car at the specified contract, I found that extra charge. 

Unfortunately I had returned to a different location, and when I called the original location to explain how the sales rep had not explain the charges, the manager accused me of lying, refused to listen to me or talk to me except to say that they charged me according to company policy and he didn’t care what I said. 

Fortunately the return location in another state clearly understand my problem and refunded the majority of the fee. 

Nevertheless, Budget lost a customer for life. This location in particular is terrible, and I wouldn’t go anywhere near them again.

Terrible place to rent a car.  I prepaid for a car using my credit card points for a midsize SUV.  I knew that I would be driving in inclement weather so I called and week in advance and ask if they could reserve an AWD SUV for me.  The guy on the phone said since I went through my credit card provider for the rental and not through budget they could not reserve an AWD SUV.  My only chance of getting an AWD SUV was if they had one on the lot on the day I show up to pick up my rental.  

A week passes by and I show up to pick up my rental and ask if they had any AWD vehicles on the lot.  The guy at the front desk said they do have an AWD vehicle but do you mind that the SUV is smaller than the one we were going to give you.  I said that I didn't mind because I would rather have AWD knowing the type of conditions I will be driving in.   He pulls the vehicle out front and has me look over it.  As I am looking over the vehicle, I noticed that it is NOT AWD.  I told the guy that this vehicle is not AWD drive.  Which he replied, "well that is what the paper work says".  At this time the rental store is about to close and I am all ready running late, so I said that I will take the vehicle that way I can get on the road.  So basically I paid for a midsize SUV and got a sub compact SUV.  Also, to tell someone that you have an AWD SUV when it is not AWD is dangerous.

I turned in the vehicle Sunday after 1pm when they had already closed.  Since I turned in the vehicle shortly after they closed they charged me an extra $120 for dropping it off after hours.  Keep in mind that I had paid for a 3 day rental with my points which equal to about $140 for 3 days and I picked up the SUV at 5:45pm on Friday so basically I returned the vehicle before my 3 days rental was up. 

I guess what really make me upset is that I was lied to about the vehicle being AWD and that you can have a 3 day rental for $140 but drop the vehicle off a couple hours late and you will pay an extra $120.  I agree with Mike's statement about this place having deceptive business practices.  Word of advice, pay the extra $10 per day rental fee at the other car rental establishments before using this place.

This is the second time I rented with Budget and they did a pretty darn good job again.  The car this time was awesome!  It still smelled like new car and leather and drove smoothly.  We really enjoyed having it for the week to tote everyone around.  The pick up experience was pretty good.  The guy who punched everything in the computer was new and could have used a bit more finesse in his up-sell tactics and requests for signatures.  I don't sign forms until I've read or completed the activity and I had to tell him twice that I would sign the inspection form until I had inspected the car.  The return process was easy and that guy did great.  I dropped the car off the night before and didn't realize there was a drop box for the key, so I was late getting them back the next day.  He made sure to clear the additional charge and showed me where the drop box was for the next time.  I would definitely rent from Budget again.

I have used this Service since 2011 and this is the first time I have written a review. I have had no problems with them at this location however I have had some misquotes on the Customer Service line on the phone only because Customer service gives misinformation. Budget has great prices and you can go online and apply multiple coupons to get great deals. I just turned my car in yesterday and had no problems booking or with price. I introduced them to my sister and she uses them twice a month and enjoys them. When I first met Don I thought he had bad customer service but found out that he is just dry, this doesn't make him a bad person, it makes him Don and I adore him because he is consistent. I would recommend Budget to everyone. Now Avis you have to know that their prices are higher. Do the research

I have used Budget Car Rental services several times. Each experience was great! At the counter service members were friendly and well educated to inform me of any questions  I had about my rental. They even gave me options to help me save money while renting from Budget. The few cars I have driven were well kept from interior to the exterior. I was even able to keep the rental for extra days without having to pay and extra fees besides the regular daily fees for the car. Great service I would recommend this company to all my friends and family!
