Nice guys, decent prices, great selection of all sorts of vehicles. Will give you a lift to and from within reason. Have gone above and beyond to accommodate me, and every single one of my friends and family whom I have directed here. That includes my sister, my mom, my wife, my (ex) girlfriend - none whom have had any staff member remotely be nothing but nice to them.

I rented a car here to drive to an event in Irvine. Everyone here was professional and helpful. They had availability and they helped me with all of my concerns before dropping the car off. I would highly recommend them.

I had the worst experience with this company today. I was at Subaru, some guy with this company came to pick us up with our rental (supplied by the awesome people at Subaru). First off, the man flew down the side street, ther the car in reverse, drove entirely too fast in reverse into the service area where there were MULTIPLE people outside and MANY customer vehicles. When we walked into the room to get things started he had a major attitude. He was rude, condescending, tried to interrupt, talk over me, and absolutely combative. This man was nothing short of an absolute J E R K! I called this rental company to speak with the manager. Not only did I NOT speak with a manager, I was lied to, told I was speaking with a manager, put on hold by being cut off multiple times in two minutes, then talked over AGAIN! This guy had the nerve to tell me Subaru called them and said we "refused" to work with him and for him to leave. Hahahahaha! I asked him who at Subaru multiple times. He continually said he didn't know. So o flat out said you're lying. No one here called you and said that because you left and I have not spoken to anyone! He then got very hostile, I said I was going to put the place on blast everywhere I could. Sure enough he slammed the phone down hanging up on me.  When I asked Chris (Subaru) if someone called and said that he said of course not.  

Disgusting business. Beware if you do anything with this place. Be extra careful if you're a woman.

I came across California Rent-A-Car by just searching on Google.  I chose them to rent a cute Mini Cooper Convertible, not a kind of car you would usually see in the big chain rental places but California Rent-A-Car is a family owned and operated small business with delightful employees and a cool hollywood style! Being in LA and wanting to enjoy the beautiful weather the Convertible Mini was the perfect fit for me.  

The type of cars they had available was the reason why I chose to give them a call but the customer service and the helpful tips that Chris volunteered helped me decide which car to rent and will be the reason why I will be using them every time I'm in LA.  I was very happy with his professionalism. The wait time to actually get the car was minimal, about 10-15 minutes.  The mini was very new, about 6200 miles on it, which was awesome!

The entire experience starting with Chris all the way to the last person that I returned the car to, Paul was top-notch professionalism, from their appearances to their attitudes, California Rent-A-Car is the place to go!!! ☺

I am not a fan of rent a car companies. I have had many a horrible experience. California RentACar was a delight! I have used them in the past and have always been satisfied, but this last experience went above and beyond. They are professional, helpful, customer service oriented and I felt special from the time I called to the time I returned the car. I even got candy! =) Everyone was helpful but a special shout out to Carlos Cortes. He made a stressful situation (my need for a rent a car in the first place) into an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this place.
