"At our Shreveport, LA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. Went on a mini vacay to Shreveport...saw this Captain D's and decided to stop. I'm so glad I did...the customer service was great and the food was fresh. I have no complaints about this place...oh, just one...they have Pepsi products...Ugh, I hate Pepsi...get some Coca-Cola in this city! Every where I've been pretty much has Pepsi here!! Oh yeah, the hush puppies were delish and they're huge! The green beans were good but I wasnt impressed with the mac and cheese. I would definitely go again!!
Honestly, if I could rate this without putting any stars I would. First, I received batter fish when I ordered to have it cooked country. Then, when they bring out the correct order this is what I get. I love Captain D’s, but this is the worst experience I’ve had at one.
The food is fresh and hot and super good! They have a much larger variety than I would've ever expected! I've been there several times in the last few months and it's always really good, customer service is great, wait time not long and have ordered something different every time and each thing is really, really good!
Me and my co worker went to captain D's For lunch today, we both had fish and let me tell you it was the worst ever. First of all we didn't get our money wreaths the fish was Extremely small it was about4 French fries on my dish of food, plus the service was terrible looks it was one guy doing everything
The food was good but the packet of sour cream had expired on the 26th which would make it 16 days old it tasted rancid.
the fish was so gross, mac n cheese was cold and for $15 no drink included. The fish tasted like it came directly out of a swamp. Will never go back or recommend to anyone- and i am not a picky person

This place has really went down. I'm so disappointed. My coleslaw was spoiled and the grease from the crumbs burned through the plastic leaving holes in container .Food: 1/5
My family and I love eating at Captain D's but we live in Bossier but we were over on Youree and decided to visit this one . bad decision we ordered 3 #5 which was the Catfish feast needless to say that wasn't catfish and our order wasn't right when we tried to get it corrected the manager was so very rude !!! They were not busy at all !!! I will not be visiting the one on Youree ever again . that old saying if it's not broke don't fix it we'll continue to go to the Bossier location
Loved the hot fresh food...Drove in from Longview...Will return soon!! Parking: Need more lots...
