I have bought several cars from CarMax and always have a great experience. The ability to transfer in the car I want from a different store is really helpful (depending on the location the car comes from it might a free transfer or there may be a fee).This is great when you know exactly what kind of car you want. It also great to be able to look at a variety of cars without any pressure. Everyone on staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend it.

I truly enjoyed my car buying experience here. Everyone was so nice and the person who worked with me was excellent. I think her excitement and mine matched when I was leaving. I would refer anyone to go here.

My husband and I after much research found our car, called and made a appointment at the Richmond location.  This was our first time dealing with Carmax and it was not a pleasant time. Salesman was juggling 2 customers at once,  had us waiting to the point that we had just decided to leave when he finally showed up, got the car and then told us there was a part needing replacement, this was Monday, said car would be fixed Wednesday.  Had us waiting in the car to test drive it because again waiting on another customer,  test drove the car , said we would buy it, paid full price and no financing,  our appointment was at 6:30pm , didn't get out of there till 9:00 pm. Wednesday comes and no phone call that our car is ready , called salesman on his cell at 4:45 , no answer , called service desk, man said there wasn't a work order , couldn't find our car, was going to contact salesman to find the car and what's going on. I get home from work and call because. .again no one has called us, salesman Dan is wonderful and will get to the bottom of it, 10min later salesman finally called us to say it was being worked on right now and might be ready by 9:00 and was so sorry for not getting back to us. I am big , real big on customer service and this was really bad customer service.  I won't deal with them again.

This was my first time visiting CarMax; it was a pleasant experience the staff was helpful and courteous. I will recommend CarMax to my friends, family and associates.  Kevin Raj is an excellent Sales Associate and very personable.  A good employee.

I had never been to CarMax before so I was pleasantly surprised by the helpful staff and the number of resources they have to help you purchase a car. It is not high pressure because the prices are fixed and there is no haggling. The first person you meet will normally be the person that will walk you through the entire purchasing process. It was quite refreshing and I look forward to dealing with CarMax again.
