Bought a family vehicle last month from West End Auto and I'd definitely recommend the dealer to anyone looking for a solid used car. David was incredibly helpful and accommodating, as well as very personable. He also was flexible with his pricing, and he prices pretty fairly. The property is very small and minimal but that keeps his overhead low and allows him to price reasonably. The vehicle I was looking at started having some issues (normal wear and tear for a 10+ year old car) and he made sure everything was straightened out. One of the issues resurfaced shortly after purchase and he even helped me out there and then instead of leaving me on my own since the transaction was finished, so I definitely appreciate that. None of the issues were his fault, and he was very upfront about getting everything situated for me. It didn't take long for everything to be fixed once and for all and now I have a very strong and reliable car which runs and looks great for its age. Overall, David (who is the owner) handled everything very well and if I or anyone I know is looking for a used car in the area, I would recommend West End Auto to them in a heartbeat.

I bought my son a 2002 Toyota Corolla from David and David and they were wonderful to work with. Very fair, up front and willing to work with you to get you what you need.  I got a great deal on an awesome car for my son!  I would recommend them to anyone.  Thanks again guys!

My teenage daughter was looking for her first car, and we wanted to stay under $3000. We wanted the most reliable high mileage (low cost) car we could get, so after a lot of research, we went hunting for a Toyota or Honda. 

We'd done a lot of pricing research, and knew the price was right, our test drive and visual check of the Camry was fine, so we bought it on the spot. 

It's a great high mileage starter, or commuter, and had 170,000 miles. 

I took it to the the Toyota dealership after I bought it, just to confirm my own judgment, and they said everything was perfect, shocks, brakes, the works, aside from a small oil leak from the head gasket, which we had already noticed, and didn't mind. Hopefully she'll take good care of it, watch the oil, and if she does, it should be good for another 170,000 miles. 

I did put a new battery ($140) in it (never a bad idea on a new used car), and got a four wheel alignment for $80 (it had a small pull to the right). 

I'm almost 60 years old now, and I've learned you never trust anything any dealer says, only trust your own eyes. All I want from a dealer is a selection of clean cars, with fair prices. It's up to me to determine if the car is mechanically sound, and worth purchasing. 

Buying a used car requires the buyer to know some basic things about cars, if you don't, have it inspected before buying it. 

I was very pleased with David, the owner, and his selection of cars for what we needed. It's not easy to find a reliable, high mileage, inexpensive car, in good condition, he had several. 

I've bought many user cars over the years, and I know I'm going to get the best price on a used car from a small operator, with a very low overhead, that's West End Auto, not from a big dealer paying huge rent on a fancy showroom, with high overhead. West End had the best prices, and selection, in Richmond when we were searching.
