Absolutely incredible restaurant! Highly recommend to everyone and more! The ramen is delicious and there was a lot of attention put into it. The prices are around the same for any normal trendy restaurant in Durham, but the price for Dashi is actually worthwhile. The decor is very interesting and the waitstaff is attentive. Truly incredible. If you're ever in the area and are hungry, don't be afraid to stop by!

I really enjoyed my meal. My one gripe is the cost $15 for what is objectively a large bowl of soup with noodle and stuff is quite steep. But in context they are cooking broth for long periods of time. It's highly fortified and concentrated. That takes time, energy and effort. So you must give credit where its due. BTW if they offer you something pickled... TAKE IT! This is good eats

I had the ultimate pleasure of having the Omakase Dinning experience here and I have to say that it was a rich taste of Japanese culture with its five course dinner and sake, chef Cotter exquisite culinary skills are one of a rarity here in the south. I really enjoyed the experience with friends and it was quite a night of delectable food and sake and the one of the best ways to unwind with good friends. This is a must for the new year if you have not tried it yet. Make sure you call and reserve at least 7 days in advance, you will not regret it!!

First time here and i enjoyed the food. They have an upstairs where the bar is and the first floor. Our waitress was very attentive and i would recommend this place.

Not really set up for parties larger than 4 people. Ridiculous wait, but the food was good. I understand peak hours on Friday night will be busy, but 45 min. past the original wait time is pushing it for any establishment. Will probably go back on a different night with fewer friends to get a second take on the menu & service.
