I will start with the positive, the food was AMAZING. The cocktails were great and the bar tender was very attentive. I would've given the restaurant 5 stars based on food, drinks, and vibe. However, we got there at 6:30 on a Friday and the restaurant was EMPTY. The hostess informed us that all of the tables were reserved and they were on a 45 minute wait (did I mention that the restaurant was literally empty???). We decided to sit at the bar, and were done within an hour. Half of the "reserved" tables remained empty while we were there. We could've easily sat at a table, however the hostess and manager thought it would be better to keep the restaurant empty. They have a terrible business model. I will not go back unless I have a reservation.

I went with a fairly large group of people and we had a great time. I love the atmosphere and the food was fantastic. Probably the best shepherd's pie I've ever had, curried or not. All of my friends ordered different things and everyone was impressed with there order. There was definitely a lot of "Ooh, try this!" going on. This is a great place to go if you feel like spending a little more money for great food.

Viceroy is easily one of the best Indian restaurants i have been to in Durham. To begin with, the ambiance and music was great for an afternoon lunch time. The menu is short and simple. The food totally reminded me of comfort  home food served on a Thali( The Indian name for a round platter used to serve food). Loved the Decor and the whole British pub feel to it. I am going back for the Fish and Chips!!!

Amazing flavors. Good service. Go in early to get a seat if you don't have a reservation because the place fills up!

This place offers authentic Indian food. This is hands down the best Indian restaurant in Raleigh-Durham-Cary area. 
Must try: Tandoor platter, Lamb Korma, Sausage rolls. 
The spice level and the spices used are more authentic. It smells, looks and taste like actual Indian food that one would get in India.

I recommended this to one of my dearest friends (English American family). They absolutely loved the food here.
