We are a boutique hotel in Chicago - where hip meets historic.

Cannot go on enough about this hotel. Perfect location, literally close to EVERYTHING you could want, very clean, awesome awesome decor!!!, close to the bus and L station, friendly staff....I could go on. The rooms are a little small, but how much time do you spend in your room? Our room had a window in the shower which was so nice! Gotta give a shout out to Big Mike! Always friendly, and always offering a hand to help us get around the city. We thought checking in would be a nightmare with it being on such a busy road, but the valet and the concierge worked fast, and helped us out, and it was a breeze. I had read the comments before how the hotel is noisy. Ya, it's old, old places are noisy. So, I purchased a small fan, and it kept all the noise out. This will definitely be the hotel we stay in when we visit again. Only down fall, no fridge in our room, and no microwave on site. They did offer to warm our food up in the employee break room however.

I loved the hotel. The ambiance was definitely Chicago. I was traveling alone so I had a room with a queen bed and it was the right size for me. The location is awesome. I decided to ride the train an take public transportation and didn't have any issues getting to and from the station. The area provides so many little gems that you would have to take multiple visits to just visit them all. I will be making this my go to hotel whenever I stay in Chicago.

Booked because I had an amazing experience here last week and I’m in town for work often. Now I realize that my prior experience must have been a one off incidence. Upon entering the hotel for check in (late I do admit) I was informed that the hotel would have the water shut off for pretty much all of my stay, which meant that I couldn’t do the one thing I booked the room to do(which was take a nice shower in the morning). This is unacceptable, having no access to water means I can’t even use my toilet right now. Which is a major issue. Secondly, I booked a king room. And was placed in a tiny corner room, I can’t remember a single door slamming noise from my last stay, this is not the case this morning. Doors have been slamming all morning from all of the rooms located near mine. They need to have a device on the doors to prevent such nasty slamming sounds, now I can here what must be a drill or a vacuuum echoing throughout the walls. This has been awful, if I didn’t book with a third party that pays up front I would be demanding my money back. I would have rather slept in my car.

Stayed for one night. We originally had a queen but updated to a king which I was really happy with. The staff was super friendly but really loved the bed. Super comfy. The environment was pretty amazing too. Would definitely come back again.

Fantastic location, seems this place has been recently remodeled with a hip vibe and small but comfortable rooms. Valet parking is the only parking option at the hotel but the century a block away has less expensive secure parking. Only negative of my stay was the elevator was not operating and the third floor stair access was locked for a bit which required a bit of wandering to figure out how to access the third floor using service stairs.
