Well...it was beach week...very active with college kids...if you have young children...you would not have wanted to be here this weekend. Limited parking to 1 car per room, parking garage 1 block away and the cost is $10 for 24 hours. The staff was very informative and nice. Beds super comfortable... microwave and fridge in room. Had an issue with the hot water in the shower... housekeeping was very accommodating. Pool was empty, probably because of beach week. I would come back but not during beach week. Lots of marijuana being smoked freely in the parking lot with nothing being done about it.

From the moment we drove into the parking lot to check in, there was an overall negative vibe to this place. Office staff was not the friendliest and seemed suspicious of our motives for wanting a room. A male worker was in the parking lot changing his clothes out in public. We were stared at constantly and non-stop by male vagrants wandering the lot. Also, another man checked into a room a few doors down from ours kept coming out of his room watching our every move in the parking lot while we were unpacking. He scared me! Very creepy... We were stared at and felt followed by a male worker on a bicycle as we were trying to unpack as well. I did not feel safe or comfortable at this place during daylight. I felt I'd be mobbed if I stayed until dark. I never felt this way ever about staying in a hotel. I honestly felt like I would be mugged or harmed if I had stayed here at night, especially in the dark stairwell to get to my room. After 5 minutes of arriving, I walked into the office and told the staff my concern, that I didn't feel safe with the people around the hotel. They offered another room but I chose to cancel instead, it didn't feel right to stay at this place for me no matter how affordable the rooms are. I found another place down the street and paid twice as much for a better and much safer hotel. I am reading other reviews that this hotel runs your card a couple of times or will not credit money back after cancellation. I will see what happens with refunding my money back to my card...and will update this review accordingly.

Concierge and housekeeping services are excellent. I was disappointed that the pool was not opened. When making the reservation, I was not informed that there was no pool services available after i specifically asked about the pool and the fitness center. By the way the fitness center is one small room with minimal equipment, weights, water cooler, and a tv. In addition, no one wants to wake up to no heat water. In all fairness the hot water was restored that morning, however, i checked out. There are many hotel options available.

I don't recommend this place. The housekeeping staff never cleaned our room. They never vacuumed the place. In room 129, there was a cold draft in the kitchen and through a crack in the doorway. The carpet reaked of a terrible odor. One of the housekeepers went into our room and had the audacity to ask me and a friend for five dollars because "she was short on rent money for the month". Can you believe managers would allow staff members to solicit for tips or money? The only person I thought did a good job was Michael, who is maintenance. He fixed our heater right away and he had a pleasant tone and a good vibe.

Nice place. Plenty of parking. Walls are very thin can hear everything. A block away from the water. Rooms are nicely setup.
