Story

Located on the quiet south end of the Virginia Beach resort area, the Schooner Inn has something to offer everyone. Our location is ideal in that the Boardwalk and the beach are located right outside our doors! We are also located next to Rudee Inlet where you have access to boating tours, fishing trips, fishing supplies, fine restaurants, and even jet ski rentals. This hotel is truly a unique destination. Enjoy activities for young and old alike, such as Virginia Beach's three mile boardwalk, bike trails, BeachStreet, USA's live entertainment, marathons, fishing pier, sailing on the Pirate Ship (seasonal), surfing, parasailing, shopping, jet skiing, golf and putt-putt, a carnival, plus so much more! During the summer season our hotel offers on-site bicycle rentals and beach umbrella rentals.
Looking for something fun to enjoy with your kids? Then venture on over to Grommet Island Park. This oceanfront park and playground is just steps from our hotel and is 100% handicap accessible for everyone, and it's the first of its kind in America. Also we are only 1/2mile from the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center and Ocean Breeze Water Park. And don't forget that our outdoor pool is heated in the spring and fall seasons (check with hotel for pool operating schedule).
