Didn't think I would ever gush over a car rental agency....but this place was great. Especially the manager. They were helpful, courteous, and personable. We changed cars, waffled about the Easy Pass.....as non-New Yorkers we needed explanations and a little hand holding. I usually just go with the car I want at the best rate. I don't expect much beyond the car I reserved......I never thought I'd share how terrific a car rental agency treated me,  but these guys deserve all the props!!

My reservation was price was $323 by final charge was for $890. Argued with the agent about the price and she said she would just cancel my reservation and, I would  have no car. Wouldn't let me leave with the car unless I purchased the insurance and EZ-pass. Will never ever ever rent a car from this place. All they do is lie and , when you call them on it they threaten to leave you stranded with your luggage.  Wish I would have read some of these reviews before I went with an option I thought would be cheaper. I could have went with national for this price and would at least received better customer service!

The staff at this place are super rude unprofessional and no help . Not to mention I reserved a rental reserved is the key word . When me and my family arrived after a long flight restless tired and hungry it took an hr to get a rental cause the didnt have what we reserved. I let it go but when I got back to return the second lady was worse very very rude unhelpful to say the least.  All I heard from there staff was I don't know we don't go through 3rd party I booked through orbitz reserved and payed orbitz yet she argued with me about me already paying to find out yes I did pay. But I dropped off two days early caused orbitz booked me for to long so naturally I ask how I obtained a return of money not used cause it was returned 2 days early she says I don't know sounds like we didnt book it for you and we don't help with 3rd party. I will never ever use this company again worst rental choice experience of my life be cautious and go somewhere else you may pay a little more but like they say I guess in life you get what you pay for smh.

If you’re looking for great customer service , you won’t find it here. Thank god I rented cars before at other places because at this place the front desk employees act like you’re not a customer. They don’t concentrate in the customer ; they focused in so many other things like personal calls etc. When I went there I was the one who had to ask all the questions about the car that I was getting, because she didn’t inform me about their service correctly. I had to ask about the Ez pass, insurance, extra fee charges and lastly she gave me a car without even asking me if that’s the car that I want. Be aware of this before you make the decision of going there.

I rented a car from this Dollar location, from January 11 to January 13, 2018. The car had scratches and dents on it, on the day I rented it. The attendant confirmed this on the Pre Rental Vehicle Inspection Form he signed. On January 29, 2018 I received a bill for $450.40 worth of damages from a collection company called Viking Billing Service. Dollar charged me for PRE-EXISTING damages that were on the car prior to me renting it. I spoke to 2 people from Viking Billing Service, one of them was a supervisor. I emailed the Pre Rental Vehicle Inspection Form to BOTH of them. The SUPERVISOR agreed to void the claim. On January 30, he agreed to EMAIL AND MAIL a LETTER to me confirming that I am NOT liable for the damages on the rental car within 1 WEEK. I'm STILL waiting for this letter. I also called this Dollar location where I rented the car (January 30). A Manager for Dollar told me I need to speak to the Corporate office. Then she said someone would call me back at 7:00 PM to discuss this (bogus) claim. I'm STILL waiting for that call.                                                             

***This matter was resolved AFTER I contacted the BBB. Dollar cleared me of any liability because "..(they) cannot be 100% certain that the damage occurred during (my) rental. (They) are closing the damage case with no fault to (me)..." I was able to get them to refund me a measly $102.39, in order to compensate me for the inconvenience I had to go through disputing their bogus damage claim ($102.39 was the rental fee). Consider yourself warned.***
