Easily the most complicated and frustrating rental interaction in my considerable travel experience.  As I usually rent at airports, I was amazed at the increase in bureaucracy and red tape at this local rental office. I truly understand the employees are just following rules and policy, and I feel for them,  because they must encounter the level of frustration I had on a daily basis. They were professional,  courteous,  and infuriating.  The manager tried to make things better.  Ease up on them,  Enterprise. Too many rules to enable great customer service .

I've rented from this location before and have an Enterprise + account, but on this occasion when my wife and I needed a car while ours was in the shop the sales rep had asked if we had proof of insurance. We supplied her with digital copies of our cards. She then asked if it was full coverage and we said yes. She then said she would need to call our insurance company directly to verify. Really? Never before has this happened--from this location or any other rental company. I asked if this would be required every time I rented from them and the sales rep said yes. I was astonished. Given that we were there 10 minutes before closing, I feel like it was a thinly veiled attempt to pressure us into getting their insurance coverage even though we didn't need it. Selling unnecessary insurance to would be renters is part of their business model. Our sales rep was nice, but the pressure to up-sale insurance diminished our rental experience and image of the company. Enterprise is the only game in town, otherwise I simply wouldn't do business with them.

Rent from here frequently.  There always seems to be an issue when I try to get a car.  Be prepared to show your utility bills and call your insurance company so the sales rep can make sure you actually have insurance . In addition to showing your proof of insurance . Never had to deal with these requirements anywhere else .

I was in a bind and needed to rent a car for the afternoon to get back to the Jackson airport. I hadn't thought about the fact that being in a small town, they may not have anything available on short notice. I arrived to see a quite busy store but still expecting no problems. They explained that nothing would be available until the late afternoon. Seeing my surprise and worry they offered to call me if someone returned something earlier but I explained to them that I had a late afternoon flight and was trying to leave my father's car at his home rather than at the hospital he was in or at the airport! The manager and another gentleman immediately started trying to find what they could to rent me. Although it was much fancier and much more expensive than I had planned, they got me accommodated and I was able to spend a little more time with my dad before heading to the airport.
I know they get a lot of disappointed, aggravated  people in this business so I wanted to share this to remind others that great customer service really goes a long way and not just in the south! It isn't just transportation they offer;  it's an experience, a vacation, piece of mind, safety....etc.....
