I got there and met with Tyler, who was very helpful during the process. The truck ended up purchasing had not been serviced yet, as it was a really fresh trade. Tyler got approval for me to test drive it, and then I put a down payment on it and waited for it to be served to finalize the deal. I then worked with Steve, who was also very helpful and took the time to explain details of the lifetime warranty and other aspects of the sale. Something broke on the truck during my final test drive, and I did not realize it. They drove it to the gas station to fill it and and noticed it, and stated they would cover the repair. They could have easily ignored it and it would have been my problem. They work very hard to make sure they provide their customers with a sound vehicle upon purchase. Will not hesitate to purchase from again.

Ron Johnson was ABSOLUTELY great! There is something to be said about a salesman who genuinely loves his job and his clients. When you shop around and find a salesman who just freaking helps and gets you into what you want and listens that goes so much further! He is very good at his job and having a car salesman who doesn't lie to just make a sale is something that would be nice to do more of! Genuine honest humans! He was great at his job probably partly because he is a great person!

I searched for 4 months for the right deal on a new Jeep with at least 7 or 8 dealerships. By far and away Forest Lake Auto Group had the best pricing policies, and Tony was easily the best salesman I dealt with and was willing to work as hard as I was to come to the right deal. The other guys only tried to convince me to overpay or throw in hidden prices to try to gip me. Once the deal was made Tony gave me trade in on my old car which I know no other dealership would even come close to on trade value, and treated us with FIRST CLASS service! I got letters and mailers thanking me for my purchase and service coupons etc. I put a lot of research in and can say these guys are the best in the entire region - I drove 150 miles and would have driven more if needed to get the deal I got and loyalty to me as a customer.

I can’t really recommend this dealership to anyone. I purchased a used vehicle from them knowing that with a used vehicle there are inherent risks. Working with Ron in sales was a breeze; he was easy going and made the experience painless. The one caveat with this was he did all the final paperwork because the finance person wanted to leave early that day, his first time doing it, I didn’t even finance through them. Once I took the vehicle home I realized that the heat wasn’t working and had to bring it back, roughly 25 miles. They fixed it for free and that made it easier to make the drive back. Two days later the check engine light came on. I called Ron back and he spoke to his manager who said because the car was sold “as-is” they could look at the car again but I would be charged the service fees, but they would “give me a discount” on the total bill. This was less than two weeks after the initial purchase. I opted to bring it to my normal mechanic who fixed the issue but also stated that there were other pressing issues with the vehicle. Engine cooler lines are leaking, transfer case is leaking, and the valve covers are leaking oil. I know I didn’t spend a fortune on this car but I guess I did expect more than I got. It is weird because Ron said that “We don’t put cars on our lots without making sure they are set and ready to go. If they are less than perfect we sell them to a wholesaler.” All of these issues and I am currently one month out from the date of the purchase. I would caution anyone purchasing a used vehicle from here. Do your due diligence.

Scam alert!!! Buyer beware! Their warranty is the biggest scam ever! The warranty company will find any reason possible to get out of it! Literally they said they wouldn't cover an exhaust manifold leak because I did not change my spark plugs at the recommended time. I was with in 10k of their recommendation. Everything else was up to their standards but the spark plugs! I have put less then 40k on this vehicle since I purchased it and have only had problems! The only reason this company deserves a star is the service lady Cayla is a great employee who actually gets back to you when she says she will and does what she says! The fact that this company portrays that they have a lifetime warranty is an absolute joke and shows poorly on the company. They never mentioned you had to get all their recommended work done at the exact mileage. Go elsewhere!
