Walser Polar did an excellent job assisting me in finding my new dream ride. From day one, Ethan Hampshire was committed to finding the best deal that both worked with my budget and provided all the key purchase points I had in mind. After going over a handful cars together, Ethan and I settled on one that peaked my interest, and he had no problem allowing me to test-drive multiple variations he had on the lot. With a great deal of help from David Brown, we got the paperwork done swiftly and it was explained to me -- a first-time buyer -- with a comforting amount of clarity. Ethan and David were committed to making sure I was happy in my new ride, as well as making me feel comfortable at their dealership. Great guys, great cars.

Had a good buying experience at Walser Polar Chevrolet. Thomas did not apply pressure, answered all our questions as we looked at numerous vehicles before we decided on what to buy. Was thorough when explaining what we were all signing. Gave us our options when deciding on if we should buy extended warrantee and/or other options to cover our investment. While it took a while to get everything completed paperwork wise, I felt good about our experience there.

Had an up and down experience. Bought my equinox from here and the service seemed nice and the car was priced well. When purchasing the car asked about the warranty and was told it had a 100,000 mile warranty and was shown that when we bought it but were refused a copy of it. Then less than a month after buying the car had issues with it while idling so I brought it in and they struggled and said they didn’t have any warranty on my car. They still looked at it trying to replicate the experience I was having. They had an employee as they say take the car around the block to see if he could replicate the issue but that somehow took an hour and a half for him to get back only to be told they don’t know what the issue is. I left and the issue popped up less than ten minutes later. Now I have a known issue with the equinox and have tried to contact them again for my warranty only to have them tell me the guy who sold the car to me no longer works there and that they do not have any paper work of any kind of warranty on the car. They act nice to sell you a car and screw you over afterwards.

Today I was reminded again why I should avoid dealer service. I went in to have an actuator door motor fixed on my Impala last week (part of heater/air conditioning system). Paid $80 for an assessment to pinpoint the problem. Then got it fixed I thought, and bill was $300+. Stiff for a non-essential item, but the racket was making me nuts. Wife drove the car after this first service work was completed and the racket was still there. Took the car back in today and turns out there is another actuator door that's making the noise . . . but supposedly the one that was fixed was also bad . . . there were 2 defective at same time??? Unlikely, but thought I'd get a major break having already spent $300 on the problem. Nope. Another $300 later it may now be fixed. Didn't help that after doing a brief search on the Internet I found that both actuator motors are accessible through the glove compartment. Was led to believe that half the dash had to be taken off for access. A skilled GM mechanic could have done both in 30-45 minutes tops. Internet mechanic did two in 28 minutes. Final bill for my two trips was $600+. What a value!!!! I feel like a total idiot for taking the car in. Note to self . . . avoid dealer service!!! Not a good value! FOLLOW UP TO "owner's" response: I was offered a free oil change after contesting a $600+ bill. Not an offer that was at all in proportion. Ninety percent of conversation consisted of service writer explaining how the bill was completely justified. End of story.
